Pawn inclinations guide:
You're pawn's behavior will change according to the actions you take, below you can view the actions and their linked inclinations. You can manually change the inclinations by using potions purchased from Johnathan in the Encampment at 250RC a piece.
- Scather: Enter battles with enemies as they appear.
- Medicant: Prioritize safety by healing your hero or removing their status ailments, using the 'Come' order during battle also helps.
- Mitigator: Bring down weak targets first.
- Challenger: Focus on long-range attackers and enemies with support abilities.
- Utilitarian: Use support skills and enchantments.
- Guardian: Use the 'Help' and 'Come' commands often, avoid using 'Go'.
- Nexus: Quickly heal your pawns and remove their status ailments.
- Pioneer: Use the 'Go' command when you're not in combat.
- Acquisitor: Pick up items.
How to use the potions? You can have 2 inclinations set at a time, if you a drink inclination drink that iss already active then that will be set to top priority. Drinking 1 potion of a inclination not yet listed will place it at 2nd priority.
Tip1: Avoid Guardian at all costs, both ranged and melee characters alike will spend most of the fights bum nuzzling the arisen without even drawing their weapons.
Tip2: There is a THIRD inclination affecting your pawn's behavior. if using potions it will be whatever has been most recently knocked off the list; if not you can still check out what this hidden 3rd inclination is by using the knowledge chair at any inn. This will be the respectively last priority making non-combat inclinations like pioneer and acquisitor quite effective.
Starter tips:
Do the Mercedes escort quest as soon as it shows up, it will enable 5 successive quests with a good story and reward you with a great mid-late game shield. This quest is easily missed as it disappears as soon as you finish the everfall exploration upon arriving in Gran Soran.
All the chests have a specific loot table most which it has been documented since. Loot is not decided till the very moment you open a chest so saving just before looting can save you a few return trips.
