It's an early call, I've not had any hands on but I think (from what I've seen for 2012) this will be my game of 2012.

I love third person games.

I love RGPs.

I love fantasy.

and I love open ended gameplay, but more importnalty I love AI (and the stupid ass thing it can get up to) and your 'pawns' AI seems oddly great.

The engine is the same one used for Lost planet 2 (and that game was really nice looking) and the world is open (loading is only for towns/dungeons) it's been said it'll take you two or more hours to walk one end to another. I know I can get to hyped for games but I really hope it lives up to its potential.

From what I've read, I wouldn't expect too many great things from it.

I'll wait and see, but I hope it turns out good.

I watched the whole of that Capcom dude/ developer video and it looks pretty interesting. The magic archer and random giant boss monsters seemed pretty cool. Everywhere looked really windy in the video.

I'm willing to give it a chance. I'm a sucker for fantasy RPGs.

after recent videos/etc about the game, I'm cautiously opitmistic after initially not caring at all.

That actually looks pretty decent, a lot better than what was said about it on the Bombcast at E3.

That was pretty cool, but i'll wait for some more info to make my decision on this game.

the Art design(textures, animations, buildings) looks pretty bad... but damn it looks like it'll be fun regardless.

It looks interesting but it's not a day one purchase for me. I'll probably wait for reviews and maybe a price drop. Also I was disappointed to learn there are no mounts in the game. Why?

Does anyone else get Mount and Blade vibes from the art style. It looks kinda like an indie game for some reason. Still I loved mount and blade so I can handle dodgy graphics.

Well, to be honest, im more worried that this game will get bukkaked with DLC that's already on the disc. Hopefully im gonna be wrong because this game does look like it has potential.

I'm expecting a similar experience to the Souls series, but with some focus on having a party. Sounds good in my books.

I'm pretty excited for it and I've been keeping tabs on a lot of the updates; some parts, like the prioritised animations during combat, remind of the Souls games even. The Pawn system look like it could get super annoying, though, since from most of what I've seen they will simply never cease to shut the fuck up during combat. Otherwise it looks like it could be something special. CAPCOM are certainly putting enough effort into it at least. Only second to RE6 with the amount of people they've got working on it.

@Masha2932: Yeah so far as I know no mounts but it does have a fast travel system.

@Abyssfull: You can thankfully turn down how much the 'pawns' talk in the options.

Plus it has a highly customizable character editor. Maybe like this I will be able to transfer default male Shepard to a fantasy world :D Or maybe my Jensen. Harr, so many handsome men, so little me...

I wasn't gonna buy it until I saw this but now I have it preordered.

After the SFxTK stuff I decided to take a break from Capcom games and this is the only game that is tempting me, I actually enjoyed Lost Planet 2 and this has been giving me that vibe for a while, but I'll probably wait until it drops in price first

I'm cautiously optimistic. There's definitely a Monster Hunter vibe with it which is good. Probably not a day one purchase but I'll be keeping my eye on it.

I don't know why it is getting bad word of mouth. It looks great. It's open world.

Also it seems to treat night time as... you know night time where things are dark. Just watch this.

Well, the embedded trailer definitely bored me. I'll go look for some other ones and see if this game looks any good.

It looks like a good game and definitely something I would like, but I just can't get it until much later.

Looking forward to it after watching some recent footage. The pawn system is a really neat idea for passive multiplayer - you create an AI companion, give it gear, then choose from a pool of other player created characters to form a party. You can leave feedback, recall favorites, and companions will bring experience and items back into your game for helping others.

Skyrim/Dark Souls comparisons getting thrown about seem pretty apt, the world is huge with lots of RPG stuff to do. Art direction isn't particularly inspired, but looks like the game has a lot of potential based on everything else I've seen.

Now with some background story;

My thoughts too.

Whenever I see a game like this, i automatically think about certain other open world high fantasy games and get discouraged.... Skyrim was fantastic, but how many other open world games out there just kinda fell flat. Reserving true judgement on this one till it comes out. I'm sure I'll give it a try, just not sure if that try will be a purchase or a borrow/rental yet.

So next week we'll be able to test the game out to a limited degree. I'm very eager to see how this game feels if its anything like the character movement in Darksouls I'll be one happy chap.

The Demo is 24/25 April. Unless they did a Blizzard and dropped it early.

Sorta the same for me. It was a "meh it exists" game on my radar over there in the corner.... Then about a month ago when they started putting out alot of vids/content for the game it sort of jumped to a "hey this thing is potentially good". Since then I have seen enough that it has become a day one for me. So maybe I am more than cautiously optimistic? Either way I can't wait to find out if I can suplex a pig into a cow for a double take down.
