Just wanted to see if anyone is interested in joining a GB Club? I don't have any friends getting the game but would like to check out the club elements at least. Post your PSN and I'll add you. I think it's limited to 6 slots but I dont think that will be an issue based on the activity for the game here.

Since I wont be able to make more than one club, people in clubs other than my own will need to coordinate and create the club, sorry! I will be grouping people together as they post to help organize it if you want to go that way.

I would be interested, have to see how the game is through the PS+ demo thing first. The social aspect really seems to be one of the driving forces in the game so being part of a club should make it more fun.

There's a 50/50 chance that I'll like or hate this game. Only racing game I ever got super into was Burnout Paradise. I don't like sim racers (Gran Turismo) and other arcadey(?) ones like Dirt and Motorstorm but they keep touting this as a cross between sim and arcade so who knows if I'll end up liking it? I'll be trying out the PS+ version sooooo

Ive already pre-ordered (against my better judgement) and was thinking about making a GB club but then found out the limitations, it being only 6 people. There can always be a GBEast and some other GB related clubs. I would put my name in for one here but im gonna make a club for me and a friend then post it here later if any others would like to join.

@bisonhero: I haven't decided on a name, so maybe. I'd rather use something more Giant Bombish though.

6 club slots is a bit small but then it does mean you don't just have gigantic teams running away with it.

Last I heard Driveclub is a free game for PS+ users.. but there is also a retail release? There has been like zero news about the game since they announced it at E3, or zero news that I've come across anyway.

There's been plenty of news. For clarity's sake, here's what I posted about this in another thread:

• The Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition, which will be free for PS Plus subscribers, will feature 11 tracks from one of the game's locations (India), 10 cars and access to all game modes.

• The full game (which PS Plus subscribers can upgrade to for a cheaper price, and now keep playing even if their subscription runs out) will feature 55 tracks from five locations (Scotland, Canada, Norway, Chile and India), 50 cars and "all 50 events in the offline single player Tour career mode".

The PS+ version is, according to what has been said in the marketing, a subset of the cars and tracks from the game, but all of the modes and other features are intact. I believe it's 10 cars and 11 tracks out of 50 total cars and 55 total tracks in the main version. And you get a slight discount ($10 off) if you download the game with PS+, even without playing the free version.

I might have the car and track numbers swapped, but that's my understanding of what the PS+ version is.

As for the club of driving mentioned in this thread, I think I'd rather start my own. #HashtagOfficialGiantBombModeratorHashtagDriveClubClub

I want to get a feel for the game first, before I get involved in this club business. There are a couple other driving games vying for my attention this year (The Crew, Project CARS), so I'll have to see which one grabs me the most before committing to anything.

I think I'll just ignore regions and whether its the PS Plus version for now. I f we need to reorganize later we can. I am just going to group people up as they post and it will be up to someone in that group to create their Club.

Since The Crew got delayed, and I don't have an Xbox One, I'll probably pick this up now. I have zero racing games on the PS4, I really hope it ends up being alright. Project Cars could be a bit too sterile and simmie for me, I do enjoy my fair share of GT though. I kind of just want to Forza Horizon 2, I hope the One's price drops to 300 by the end of next year.

I'm really curious what this game actually is. It sounds like a glorified Auto Log feature from Need for Speed. Seems fun enough, should hold me over until there's a PS4 racer that lets me customize and tune my vehicles. Really interested to get my hands on this in the morning. I went ahead and got the full version even though I know there's a Plus Edition.

*edit* I read my comment again and it sounded more negative than I intended. The game looks dope, and I'll be playing the hell out of it.

The 6 people to a club seems kind of dumb, I get that it shouldn't be too big but I think a couple dozen would still work. Hopefully they will add in a way to associate clubs with each other, kind of like how Destiny has.

Definitely looking for some people to play with. Going to add all you folks later today.

Just tried it out for a bit. The handling is so much fun, you really are taming the car as you fly around these tracks. Even with the starter cars it's gotten intimidating on so many corners. Much harder than I anticipated not to make it into bumper cars at the moment, so far so good though.

It would be nice if on top of the clubs they allowed an overall tag, especially if it means it's a bit easier to get club versus club races going any easier.

I thought I read in the online manual that clubs can have many members and even be totally public so no one needs to manually add people? I am picturing something similar to what GTA did with their "crews". The servers seem to have been down since launch so I haven't been able to see how it works.
