Highly advanced steroids. While in effect, they increase strength and reflexes. Highly addictive.
A chemical that makes people pass out. Ubiquitous in pulp stories, TV, and film as a handy means by which characters (often villains), sedate and kidnap other characters (often attractive women). Rarely appears in video games, but has still made a few appearances.
An illegal drug, often seen in games depicting criminal acts. Often referenced without actual graphic descriptions of its use.
Diazepam is a common pharmaceutical in the benzodiazepine class used to treat a variety of disorders, including anxiety and muscle spasms. It has appeared in numerous Metal Gear Solid games, originally called Diazepam and later renamed to pentazemin. Snake uses Diazepam to steady his aim when using a sniper rifle.
Glyco Lauric Octanol, or "Glow", is a drug that is introduced in Final Fight Streetwise. Addicts are turned into a zombie-like state, and experimental doses may cause a user to mutate wildly.
