I still don't understand collector's editions of anything. Just a bunch of useless junk for people with a "cool stuff" hoarding disorder if you ask me lol.

Duke Nukem Forever "Balls Of Steel Edition" Detailed
" I still don't understand collector's editions of anything. Just a bunch of useless junk for people with a "cool stuff" hoarding disorder if you ask me lol. "It's not "useless junk" for people who are really anticipating the game. It's like the icing on the cake, cherry on the sundae, etc.
I love collectors editions because it allows me to maintain a museum of game props in my living room. I generally only buy special editions of games that come with a prop from the game(lunchbox/pip boy from fallout, night vision from MW2, remote controlled car from blops), but the development book really sold me on this one" @OllyOxenFree: I anticipate this game as much as anyone else, but I still don't personally understand the collector's editions extra items craze. If someone gave me a collector's edition of any game, I would immediately sell everything but the game on eBay. "
I really think this missed out on the obvious add in:

" @Droop said:Well then it should come with an empty pack of gum." What a shitty collectors edition.. No bubblegum or steel balls :( "Well you're suppose to be out of gum... "

"No empty bubble gum box and no actual balls of steel? Major let down! "
Agreed. Seriously those chinese steel balls with the Nuke Logo on them? Perfect! And easy!
The bubblegum box is just a nice idea. :)
As for what IS included I don't mind it, but I don't care enough to get it. Will I play the game? Maybe. But I'm still not certain it's really REALLY coming out. :)
Can't fucking wait to get this. That bust is so over-the-top that it's a whole new level of awesome.
It's only 100 dollars on Amazon... wow. Gonna pre-order this. That bust is worth at least 30 itself, and the game is 60. This is a very well priced edition.
Would cost me around 120 pounds worth to import...that's not including the inevitable customs costs :(
Will spend all night looking at UK retailer websites...I won't give up hope yet.
EDIT: Checked Amazon UK, nothing. Then checked Shopto.net (my usual retailer) and it's there for£89...BUY IT NOW!!!
It's $99.99." Depending on the price point (I'm going to go out on a limb and say $150-200), this might TOTALLY be worth it. "
Also, after the lackluster package of Dead Space 2's collector's edition, publishers will be lucky if I EVER buy another CE. Moreover, the bust in this picture...despite the attempted perspective shift with the camera positioning and slant of the table or whatever...well, the bust isn't bigger than the game box.
