The Official E3 2014 Sony Press Conference Discussion

It's officially E3 time, duders! If you haven't experienced the insanity of E3 before, the show starts off with press conferences from each of the three console makers as well as a few of the largest publishers in the industry. These presentations are prime real estate for game announcements, debut trailers, live gameplay demonstrations, and meme origins.

In an attempt to keep the E3 shenanigans organized, the mods institute these official discussion threads for each conference so that everybody has a go-to place to discuss them before, during, and after the show.

I'd just like to remind everyone that Sony did what everyone thought was impossible and showed FF15 and Kingdom hearts 3 last year. Sure, those games are probably at least a few years off, but there is precedent for Sony showing off seemingly dead Japanese games people have been waiting years to hear about.

The lack of JRPGs at this year's E3 has been noted, and hopefully Sony will address that. Maybe even Persona 5? Promote the fact that hey, the PlayStation 3 is still getting new games.

I hope Sony has something similar to that Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 DLC that we could download right now.

Yeah officially, but it had been acknowledged/rumored by the developers at Square for some time beforehand.

According to giantbomb.com development started in 2010 so 2013 for the announcment isn't that crazy.

My bold prediction: No Man's Sky will have Project Morpheus support.

Considering people had been speculating on it's existence for almost 10 years, to finally have some firm info presented at a high profile conference, I'd say it is.

All I'm saying is it's possible Sony might show some sort of teaser for TLG. I'm not holding my breath of course.

Sony is killing it tonight, yes I'm biased but a lot of what they have shown makes me extremely exciting.

No Man's Sky was the only thing I really wanted to see at E3.

Man, Sony... this is pretty dull. The Order looked stunning, but oh man it looked incredibly boring. A lot of the indie stuff doesn't even look that interesting. No Man's Sky does look incredible though. Grim Fandango... that's cool... I guess.
