Congrats to @alcor741 for this great lightning banner, which simultaneously fits with the "purple" theme that we all seem to associate with Ubisoft. This was the only blowout of the voting as alcor741 received TEN first place votes from the 16 mods. face15's Ubi bomb was a distant second, followed closely by vincentvendetta's Beyond Good & Evil 2 banner.

The Official E3 2014 Ubisoft Press Conference Discussion

It's officially E3 time, duders! If you haven't experienced the insanity of E3 before, the show starts off with press conferences from each of the three console makers as well as a few of the largest publishers in the industry. These presentations are prime real estate for game announcements, debut trailers, live gameplay demonstrations, and meme origins.

In an attempt to keep the E3 shenanigans organized, the mods institute these official discussion threads for each conference so that everybody has a go-to place to discuss them before, during, and after the show.

Discussion involving the other company's conferences should be taken to their respective threads (once they're posted). And don't even think about going off-topic or derailing the thread with your thoughts on whether or not the next Marvel movie should feature Absorbing Man.

GET HYPE FOR THE BEST/WORST/BEST PRESS CONFERENCE!!!!1!

Far Cry 4 is literally the only thing I care about from Ubisoft right now. Unless they announce a new 3D Rayman game. That'd be pretty rad.

Well, I bet this year's conference won't be as terrible when the GB guys are making fun of it the entire time.

Beyond Good and Evil 2

This is the year. I can feel it.

After watching the last two press conferences at this year's E3, I hope that Ubisoft does not make it "meh". Microsoft was awesome but it lacked a big punch (BTW, Phil Spencer has my assurance that xbox will be fine.). EA was just so "meh" that the press conference was not as great as I hoped to be. I hope ubisoft pulls something out of their bag because last year they took E3. Same goes for Sony as well even though I have an Xbox One (NOTE: I might get a PS4 because for this generation I will go console neutral/No "PC master race"). SO for that matter this is what I think Ubisoft need to be a successful E3:

• Highlight Far Cry 4, The Crew, The Rise of the Tomb Raider and The Division with great new gameplay
• Showcase some great new titles BOTH AAA and indie (Believe me, it's now indie and AAA being showcased in E3)
• Do not make it drag on with insider information just like how Microsoft did not do in this year's E3
• Deliver a huge announcement so there will be some kind of "hype" value like what Watch Dogs in 2012 and The Division last year.
• As always, don't go into the uncanny awkwardness that happen when shit goes wrong during the press conference (That includes, weird conference presenters, technical difficulties, forced comedy, etc.)

This is my opinion for Ubisoft. After the press conference, I will reflect and put my key points for a successful Sony E3 press conference.

Rainbow Six looked awesome and that isn't the type of game I go for. Has a single player I'm probably on board.

Hmm, sure this one was a bit of fun, even if a lot of it was rather predictable. Still carried that same brand of Ubi personality, though, which gives it an edge over MS' i'd say.

Really liked the look of that Rainbow Six. I love that kind of multiplayer mode where you need to be sticking together as a team. Unity continues to impress the hell out of me. Why can't Ubisoft let me hate those games so I can stop buying them!

As weird as the Ubisoft conference is I'd take it over the sterile, boring conference EA always has. At least it looks like the people are having fun.

I really enjoyed this one. I thought everything they showed was pretty interesting in one way or another, Rainbow Six looked fun as fuck, and Ubisoft continues to not take themselves seriously at all and that's great.

hmmmmm, you know, at some point, I really wanted to try out that fitness game. The Arcadiness of it just felt like something I don't see in Nintendo or Microsoft fitness products. The Division looks pretty much like poor man's the Last of Us/Dead Island that I kept wondering when do the Zombies come out? The Crew, meh, what happened to car creation? I wanted to go with monster truck of stupid as I cross mountains. Meh, AC Unity..... I will play it but I do feel like I know what I'm getting regardless what they say. So is Valiant Hearts what we wanted CoD Ghosts to be? Just makes me wonder when you meet the sniper cat rival.

I'm totally getting an Xbox One this year for Unity. I haven't played any of the AC games since Revelations but Unity has me in awe. I've been waiting for the French Revolution for years. So since AC Comet wasn't shown or I guess even mentioned then it's fake right?

I'm happy that a lot if these next gen games are looking real pretty. Unity looked really, really good even if the gameplay seemed largely the same.

All they needed to do was come out, yell "RAINBOW SIX, MUTHAFUCKERS," shown the live demo, and then dropped a massive microphone on the stage and yelled "DONE!"

Rainbow Six looked cool despite the fakeness of the people playing it. AC also looked pretty damn cool with multiplayer. I don't like AC games single player but would probably play that if I could play the whole game with friends.
