I'm solid on CREATING gifs, but as far as combining and editing them, enlarging them, drawing over them, changing aspect ratios, etc., I'm hopeless under this short of time. So for Nintendo, if someone good with GIF making wants to, please make my idea come true and reap the rewards:

(Note: Put Wario's hat on the bully, Waluigi's hat and stache on the "NEVER" arms folded ***** in purple, a Trauma Center logo on the ambulance, and replace the "cookies" lady at the end with Reggie Fis Ame handing out GameBoy Micros to the children. Replace the Honda Civic(?) with Luigi death stare.)

Only one entry from me this year. Time is against me. I'd love to be able to animate it to be like the actual wonky achievement style, but that's beyond me so this is what you get.

@vincentvendetta: Classy. I also love the reference to it being the 20th E3. My only criticism is that while Hohokum looks super fun, I'm not sure it's the most iconic thing to put there.

I feel similarly, though I'm way into Mirror's Edge being in the EA one because fuck yesssssss.

Also hot tip: when doing pixel text, never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever leave anti-aliasing on. Always put it to "none," because the lines blur out and it's a bummer. Those fonts were meant to have harsh edges. Use 'em!

Here are my entries. All I wanted to do was keep it simple and incorporate the lines of text you see. I think I succeeded my in my goal even with my limited skill set. Let me know what you think!

@aurahack: Thank you for the tips! I am a fan of keeping things center and balanced that's why I chose to put the logos behind the text but I totally see where you are coming from. I made this variant of the Sony one and added a small animation to still keep it simple but make a little more interesting. Thanks again for the constructive criticism! Always helps to get input.

@baillie: Wow good catch. I thought I proof read... haha. I'll fix it.

@th3irdeye: I don't know what software you're using but if you're using photoshop for the Ubisoft logo instead of just using the bucket tool if you make a new layer directly above the layer the logo is on then right-click > 'create clipping mask' and then fill the new layer with black you'll avoid the little white jaggies on the edges. Does that even make sense? Other than that I'm liking your banners a lot. The phrases you've chosen are pretty great haha.

@accolade: That kinda answers you're question too. I just found .png images with transparency of the logos online and used a clipping mask if they weren't already white.

If one of these doesn't win I might cry. Even the gif haters can't deny the craftsmanship of these. Also I love that EA logo and they should bring it back.

I suck so I just stole @face15 logo and put them @vincentvendetta background. Because I like both best.

While not explicitly against the rules we've laid out, I think this is against the spirit of the contest.

I love both of what @face15 and @aurahack have done with this for totally different reasons. I totally dig the simplicity of the former (I actually prefer the non gif versions for this reason) but I think that @aurahack's are just too damn stylish not to win if we're allowing gifs. The GB community once again shows it's ridiculously talented side.

@face15: So, I'm using Photoshop. I think I understood most of what you said. However, I actually found the ubisoft logo in black but it had a white background instead of transparent. I cut the white out of the image and placed it into the banner project. I just used the magic wand to do it. Any tips for cleaning it up based on that method?

Changed the Microsoft one to just the official logo, not too sure which one I prefer but both have been created! Tried to give each one slight differences, think that some work better than others but that's part of the fun of these competitions. I have a couple of other ideas and might have a go at another set if I get a chance.
