The Electronic Three of 2016 is officially over. We laughed. We cried. We learned a lot about games and ourselves over the past week. For me, this was my fifth consecutive year being in charge of getting all of those E3 trailers onto the site. It's a simultaneously hectic and fun job. Finding the balance between writing decks that are both informative and sometimes funny while also being fast about it can be difficult, but I have a great time doing it. I went E3 from 1997 to 2006, but haven't been since, so it's fun to be involved even if it's remotely.

Monday, as usual, was especially crazy because those companies don't give us access to trailers ahead of time, so I have to snatch them as soon as they post them (usually right after they air), and get them uploaded as fast as possible. I usually have multiple tabs open encoding stuff. But, by Tuesday and Wednesday, I'm mostly digging around for smaller/indie stuff that wasn't highlighted in the press conferences. In total, I uploaded 143 trailers this year, which is just shy of last year's total. So, which ones were the most popular? Let's find out together.

The Top 25 Most Viewed Trailers

Straight up these are the trailers that were watched the most. Keep in mind that the numbers can be and are slightly skewed for several reasons. For one, a few them get special promos that show up in those top slots on the front page. Also, there's the whole time issue. Since there are so many trailers being posted, some of them don't spend much time on the front page feed. Anyway, here they are.

Oh. Yeah, I had heard something about DMC going mobile. Not sure why this is considered "fake", though. Seems like a standard CGI trailer with no gameplay from the actual thing.
