Well, the first of the E3 press conferences is almost upon us. What is everyone expecting to see out if it on Saturday? Any more word on the multiple Star Wars games being worked on or just a sole focus on Battlefront II? Awkward pitches from professional athletes for EA Sports games? What else?

I would hope they have more to show than just Battlefront II if they are making three Star Wars games.

My dark horse wishes:

• Some new Fight Night game
• New NBA Street game
• Road Rash yes still Road Rash, I know

i guess i'm interested to see what that new Bioware IP is if they do show anything at the conference tommorow.

Criterion is theoretically working on a game.

Honestly, at this point, I'm not sure EA has anything anymore that interests me...

Really interested in Battlefront 2 campaign stuff - along with whatever other singleplayer-oriented Star Wars games they might potentially show - and... I dunno, NFS looks potentially interesting? I'd normally be jumping out of my chair with excitement at the idea of a new BioWare IP, but since it's supposedly going to be some kind of shared-world, multiplayer, Destiny-type whatever, I'm really not feeling it.

Honestly I've probably spent more time thinking about my E3 snack regimen than mulling over EA's press conference.

@hotsaucerman: My understanding is that, while the multiplayer will offer factions, maps and hero characters from all three major canon eras, the campaign will specifically follow Commander Versio and Inferno Squad - the Imperial special forces unit shown in the first trailer - from the Battle of Endor through to the founding of the First Order - a span of about thirty years - with relatively brief segments where you'll play as other characters. (I think they've specifically called out Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren as featuring in these, though there may be more.)

I'm super interested to see how they end up handing that story.

I don't have any deep love for Star Wars, but I'd watch that Visceral game being shown-off, sure. Nothing else I can personally think of, but hopefully there's at least one game that catches my interest.

They will announce a new Star Wars game, and we will all silently mourn Mass Effect.

MOH Allied Assault remake from respawn is all I want. Don't care about battlefield, nfs, star wars or sports.

I am hoping EA will show Viscerals' Star Wars game. It has been about three years since Amy Hennig join the studio, and about four years since EA got the Star Wars license. I'm all for seeing Battlefronts 2 campaign footage, but it would be a shame if that was the only Star Wars footage they showed. Also I would love to see a new IP from Bioware, or what I really want a new KOTOR.

We'll see more on Star Wars Battlefront 2 and see sports games like Madden and FIFA (Thinking the awkward athlete they bring in is Rob Gronkowski for Madden). Maybe for surprise announcements, they'll show Visceral's Star Wars game, announce Plants vs. Zpmbies: Garden Warfare 3 maybe get a revival of one of EA's old IP's. Probably Need for Speed, but man I'd love for Burnout to come back, even though it probably won't.

@tothenines: Both. The only confirmed info about Bioware's new IP is that it is codenamed "Dylan".

Bethesda has one or two new IPs in the works and there are unsubstantiated rumors that one of them is called "Starfield" and that it's basically a sci-fi take on the Bethesda RPG formula.

does anyone know how long it is before GB put the conference vids up on the site after the conference is finished?

Reason im asking is I probably wont be able to watch todays conference and im going to avoid looking at social media so nothing is spoiled for me.

It's not really a rumor in either case. The Bioware new IP was officially confirmed years ago when they did they had that strange video of men in a dimly lit room talking in vague terms about how cool the new thing they're doing will be.

As for Bethesda, they've outright stated they're working on a new game that isn't Fallout or Elder Scrolls.

I made a stance against EA a loooong time ago so I'm just watching for the GB commentary/riffing.

They'll announce something I might be really interested in, then suddenly remember I'd have to use Origin to play it and lose a lot of interest.

Maybe something for their subscription model?

Origin has been totally fine for years at this point. I actually get better download speeds on Origin than I do on Steam.

Don't know why EA even has a press conference, Madden/FIFA/Battlefield/StarWars get tons of coverage at Sony and Microsoft, almost everything they do are annual franchises.
