No, not really. I appreciate gaming platforms like Steam etc, but the publisher's own account systems are a bit useless and often make you very confused as you forget the password for that EA account or can't remember your Ubisoft name etc. Since you usually only use these services with specific games, the possibility of forgetting about them is far higher than that of Steam that people use daily to connect with other gamers etc.

I don't like it, but I don't hate it. So I guess I have to decline to vote.

No because I have 100 EA accounts for 100 games, and I can'T remember any of the usernames and passwords. So my BF2 career is basically lost, and I'll never get the bonuses for having played other BF games, since it's a different account each time.

I just think it's really stupid to slap on another layer of log ins and shit, given I have to log into steam or Xbox Live to begin with!

You can tie all the ea accounts to a single email address.   It doesn't bother me but there are like 50 usernames tied to my email account lol.

No, because it's pointless. Just like Ubisoft's Uplay. Why should I have to log into 2 different accounts just to take advantage of everything in my game? That's exactly how Metal Gear Solid 4's online play went to crap. Because in order for you to play online, you have to log into your PSN account, then your Konami account, then your MGS4 account. Now, for PC games that I purchased a boxed copy for. Let's say Mass Effect 2 or Dragon Age, that I understand.

It's terrible and kind of a big "fuck you" the user. I think EA has been doing well in designing some genuinely good games recently, but they can't help but make choices like this that are so off putting to the customer.

Eh, it can be ok. It doesn't really work great cross-console though. In Mass Effect 2 there can only be one file on the PC (Steam version only?) unless you have two seperate codes to sign into, but on the 360 you can have multiple user accounts so when someone buys something everyone on that system can play the content that one person bought. So I could only use the content I bought previously on the 360 version on my PC playthroughs, and not the content my brother bought. I was going to ask about that on a thread earlier. If you buy the Mass Effect 2 on PS3 will you be able to use the previously bought content from 360 or PC on the PS3 version as well? Or no?
