Origins
The team's origins began on YouTube in 2008 when they wanted to document their development of their RPG game Elysian Shadows. The team has seen drastic changes over the years, but it is always lead by the Lead Developer Falco Girgis.
The series that follows Elysian Shadows is called Adventures in Game Development and can be found on their YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/GyroVorbis/
Software
The team has developed various software projects to further the development of their games, such as LibGyro, the ESToolkit and ESGamma.
LibGyro
LibGyro is the low level, code base for Elysian Shadows that abstracts much of the graphical programming away from the core project. The library allows Elysian Shadows to compile and run of a variety of different platforms.
- Windows
- Mac
- Linux
- Sega DreamCast
- iOS (iPhone, iPad)
- Android (OUYA, Android Phones)
ESToolkit
The ESToolkit is the dedicated tool set for Elysian Shadows that allows for map manipulation, entity creation and other things. The Toolkit is under active development alongside that of Elysian Shadows.
ESGamma
ESGamma is the proprietary lighting, physics and audio engine that runs Elysian Shadows. It is developed on top of LibGyro.
