    Empires is a FPS/RTS hybrid. Players on each team elect a commander who is in charge of building the team's base, upgrading its buildings as well as the team's vehicles and equipment, and ensuring that both defensive and offensive operations are carried out successfully by the riflemen, scouts, engineers and grenadiers who comprise the four classes of both teams.
