Early Life
Eragon spent his early life living on his Uncle's farm. The farm was located in the town of Carvahall. Eragon never knew his true father and was left motherless when his mother, Selena, vanished after he was born. Eragon was left in the care of his Uncle Garrow and his Aunt Marian. Marian also soon died and was left to be raised by Garrow and Garrow's son, Roran. The family earned their money by doing farming and hunting. Eragon was a skilled hunter. He was brave enough to hunt in the Spire, which few ever went into. Eragon's life would change in the Spire when he found a strange blue "stone".
Life as a Dragon Rider
Eragon took this blue stone home with him to Carvahall. After a few days Eragon is surprised to see a creature hatch from this egg. The creature was a rare creature, a dragon. Eragon touches the dragon and it leaves a Gedwey Ignasia, a silver mark on his hand. Eragon decided to name the dragon,
Saphira, after he talked to the local story teller, Brom. Eragon decides to raise the dragon in secret from Garrow and Roran. This continues until servents of the Emperor Galbatorix's servents the Ra'zac come to Carvahall looking for the egg. Eragon and Saphira escape from Carvahall by fleeing to the Spine. Once Eragon returns, he is welcomed with his only home destroyed and his only father-figure Garrow dead. Eragon decides to leave Carvahall with Saphira and Brom to seek revenge.
