ESPN NBA 2K5 is a realistic basketball game developed by Visual Concepts and published by Sega for the Xbox and PlayStation 2 on September 28, 2004. The sixth installment of the NBA 2K franchise, ESPN NBA 2K5 covers a customizable 2004/2005 NBA season while improving the gameplay physics and re-inventing their "franchise mode" (now dubbed "The Association").

It is the final game in the series to be co-branded with the ESPN (Entertainment and Sports Programming Network) and is the final game in the series to be published by Sega, as the series would be acquired by 2K Sports (a subsidiary of Take-Two).

The cover athlete of ESPN NBA 2K5 is Ben Wallace of the Detroit Pistons. This installment marks the first year that the cover athlete was not Allen Iverson.
