A test enemy that can be accidentally encountered in the Japanese version of Final Fantasy VII, although it can also be brute-forced in the the international PC versions or fought with game enhancement devices in others.

êúô0(äñ) (Test 0 (Guard Hound) in Japanese versions) is a test enemy that was programmed into Final Fantasy VII (Game), and the most infamous of those due to (in certain versions) its ease of encounter accidentally, similar to the notoriety surrounding Pokémon Red and Blue's MissingNo. In the Japanese version of the game, it can be found in groups of 4 in an encounter at the bottom of the well at Corel Prison. It has the standard Guard Hound (Concept) model and has no attacks, but does have 30,000 HP. When attacked, it calls out "Itai de suru", meaning "it hurts", which added to the mystery factor of the battle. The enigmatic image of a red-clad man in the bottom of the well hidden behind a background tile, thought to be an artist's calling card, is usually linked to this battle in popular culture, but there is no confirmation of its affinity. In the non-Japanese and International versions of the game, the model has been changed to the pyramids that Reno (Character) can cast as a status effect on players, and its name is rendered as the unintelligible êúô0(äñ). It cannot be battled without cheats in the western/International PlayStation (Platform) versions, but by changing the CD as the game is loading a battle in the original PC (Platform) version, it will trigger a fight against the êúô0(äñ). Tribute is given to this legend in an official enemy in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (Game) under the name of Test 0, which uses a Guard Hound style model once more. They appear in the Beast Battle ground in Dustbowl and their enemy description references their appearance in the original Japanese version, including its ability to speak, which it dismisses as just parroting.
