@hassun: Anyone can throw knives, that's not particularly inspiring or difficult and I think everyone was happy to see FChamp eat it afterwards. There wasn't any Bonchan in there or anything, totally unremarkable. Most characters can beat knives, it's not even close to as good as Deathstroke and so forth, I enjoy fighting Kanos personally.

MK would have had like 25-30k viewers if they put it later in the day, pretty bizarre decision making on that front. Game looks real good though, and Jwong wasn't even salty about losing; he'll just convert to Quan Chi-ism. Quan Chi, now there's a good zoner.

@hassun: If Koji wins then I accept your argument, if not it's just there not really being much foreign (or US?) competition there. MKX's top 8 was pretty diverse in terms of characters I thought, though obviously a lot of them were good characters. It's just the fabled EG points gathering event, they simply failed except JWong.

Of course this is kind of funny considering the level of marvel competition there.

@fredchuckdave: MKX is brand new though and even then it had 2 repeat characters. Getting Ogawa, Koji KOG and Dogura to an event of this (modest) scale is also impressive. I guess we have to thank NeoGAF for that one. Good selection of games being streamed as well.

As for the hours, I'm not going to make it to USFIV Top 8 this time. Only majors or similarly big/hype events are worth spending the following Monday in zombie mode.
