    Baldur's Gate series

    Drizzt Do'Urden appears in both games as a NPC character with whom the player may have some interaction. Drizzt is a dark elf, also known as a drow, character in Forgotten Realms fantasy setting and can be considered exiled from his underground home city Menzoberranzan. While he escaped the city by his own accord to stay alive, he will not be allowed to return.

    Dark Souls

    In Dark Souls player character is exiled from his homeland because he has been marked by Darksign. Darksign causes him to be cursed to live forever. While the protagonist may still die, he will be brought back to life but is deteriorated. Kingdoms have of the world have decided to handle the Darksign curse by exiling cursed ones to Undead Asylum.
