Oblivion was fun for a while, but the art style was rather bland and got old fast........ at least for me.  I would much rather go back and play through Fable than Oblivion, and Fable 2 is looking to be many times greater than its predecessor.  I liked oblivion, but apparently I didnt quite get the obsession that so many others had.  For me Fable 2 creates that atmosphere thats gonna get me to come back to it many times over, you have to love the world and the art direction in order to get the connection with the game.  Fable 2 really draws me in with that aspect.

So yeah,  Fable 2 is far more appealing than Oblivion.  Fallout 3 on the other hand has that charm that Bethesda didnt create with Oblivion, so Im excited for them developing it and cant wait for that title as well.

God, I'd hope it would be better. Oblivion was such a massive leap down from Morrowind, so all they need to do is to improve on Fable to make Fable 2 compare favorably.

Nowhere near as good? Fable is a mediocre franchise.

I hope you're joking.  Oblivion's same-level crap was boring as hell, alright so as a lvl 1 I can go ahead and kill anything because everything else is lvl 1 also.  Oblivion's master-moves were completley useless because I could just spam regular attack and the occasional block and I would be fine.  Being a mage in Oblivion wasn't possible unless you had planned to from the start and picked your race and sign accordingly.  So no, Oblivion had alot of options that were completley useless while Fable had options that were actually usefull(aside from fishing)

the better question is how will it compare to Fable 1. If it's just as good as Fable 1, it sucks.

I loved oblivion and fable. I think this is almost a combination of the two. Fable 2 is going to have large open environments that oblivion has but is going to bring evolving gameplay to the next lvl.

Same as Senrat. I loved both franchises.
Oblivion was fun for its longevity and high amount of side-quest content. Fable 2 is already a winner for me just based on the customization aspect. Hell, even being able to name the npc's makes it awesome.
Now if only I had enough money to buy Fallout 3 as well...

It won't. Fable sucked and I refuse to believe anything Molyneux says.

They are very different. Oblivion is seems a lot deeper but less accessible than Fable. I guess we have to wait and see anyway.

Given that Oblivion was crap, I'm praying to God that Fable 2 doesn't suck as hard as it.  Given its predecessor, though...I'm sure it'll blow donkeys for breakfast and shit bricks for dinner.
