Hey I just got this game after playing the demo and enjoying playing against my brother, I really liked the boxing creator and downloaded George Bush, Barack Obama, Rocky, Tom Selleck and Michael Jackson - which frankly as a cast of characters was brilliant. The graphics for the game are also really good and the framerate is solid but from what I've played the game is completely broken because of its Difficulty.
I decided to jump into the 'Brawl for it All' mode as George Bush on the easiest setting. The first boxer I beat pretty quickly with a facebreaker in the first round, the second guy took me to 3 rounds but I beat him with 3 knockdowns to 1. Then I started the match against the 3rd guy (I think he was called Ice) and I hit a brick wall of difficulty he was dodging and parrying so quickly I got KOed in two rounds, so tried again and narrowly managed to beat him, I then moved on to the next boxer (Sparrow) and again only just won in 3 rounds, then went on to fight Voodoo and lost 4 times in a row - it then put me back to fighting Sparrow!?! At this point I'm still not even half way through the progression on the easiest setting and am getting absolutely destroyed by the AI.
Now I'm all for difficult games, there are people in this world who like nothing more than having the reactions put to the test in games like Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden and I'm fine with that. But this is a game who's whole aesthetic and marketing has been build around this "Freestyle" motif, I wanted this game to be a bit of fun in the evenings beating up various famous people but at the moment I find it so frustrating I just can't get a punch in edgeways.
