Defiance is a free-to-play MMO-shooter that coincides with events in a television series of the same name, depicting humans and aliens working together on a ravaged, mutated Earth. The game is multi-platform, but does not support cross-platform play.
Cataclysm is the third expansion pack to World of Warcraft. This expansion revamped and changed much of the original world content in addition to providing new areas, dungeons, and playable races.
In Bethesda's first-person revival of the classic post-apocalyptic RPG series, the player is forced to leave Vault 101 and venture out into the irradiated wasteland of Washington D.C. to find his or her father.
From Flagship Studios, whose founders were involved with the creation of the award-winning Diablo series, comes the similarly loot-driven Hellgate: London, a futuristic third/first person action-RPG set in post-apocalyptic London.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl is a First-Person-Shooter with many Role Playing elements. It's set in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone after a second fictional explosion in the not too distant future. It is known for its atmosphere and relatively difficult gameplay.
Neocron 2 is an cyberpunk themed first person MMORPG, originally announced as an expansion to 2002's Neocron, but released as a sequel in 2004.
Planetside is a massively multiplayer online first person shooter developed and published by Sony Online Entertainment released in May 2003. SOE CEO John Smedley announced that Planetside would be going Free to Play later in 2012.
Neocron was a cyberpunk-themed MMORPG with FPS elements, set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, and was active from 2002 to 2004.
Other than the fact that it was supposed to be an MMO game set in the popular Fallout-universe, very little was known about Fallout Online. It was canceled in January 2012.
