I found this factory in the Wastes, a factory that was advertised to make Red Tricycles, and some WEIRD stuff was going on in the bowels of that factory.
The way Vault 96 was abandoned, and why, was pretty creepy too.
What weird places and stuff have you found while exploring the wastes?

What Weird Stuff/Places Have You Found Scowering The Wastes?
" Andale. Best place in the game. "Where is it, and whats so awesome about it?
Oasis was pretty awesome.
I've been collecting/buying all the teddybears I can find (don't ask), so my character's bedroom is pretty bizarre.
It's in the lower middle part of the wastelands. You'll have to go check it out. It's pretty cool to find out the secret of that town. I don't want to give it away.
I got the spaceship crash event and didn't really know what it was. I heard the sounds of it flying overhead, but when I looked up, it was too late. I had no idea what it was until reading up on it over at FalloutWiki, even though I noticed the randomly-strewn alien blaster ammo lying around after. Unfortunately, I never stumbled across the unique weapon drop there, and now I have no idea exactly where the event occurred, so the only way for me to get it is either to scour every inch of the wasteland, or cheat it in.
There's a building in the lower left part of the map, with some damn creepy holotapes and backstory. It's well worth checking out.
As far as odd things I've seen, some of the AI stuff can get pretty bizarre. I explored the eastern parts of the map once, and saw a woman dressed in a Vault costume just running across the Wastes. Wasn't a collared slave, so far as I could tell, just a random person running to... somwhere.

My last post was about Vault 108 and the weird stuff in there. Also,If you go on top of the tallest cliff in the regular game near Rockbreaker's Last gas, (section 4, central West) you can zoom in with your sniper rifle, enemies will pop-in (I don't know about the PC version) and if you snipe them and fail to kill them, they will still come after you, even after they disappear because of the great distances. And lastly I know how to walk out of the game near the large rubble piles next to the Museum of Technology.
I think the most odd thing I've seen was while I was running through the Wastelands with Fawkes, he just....took off!! All on his own. Found him later standing next to a Bohemoth.
Well I was in a Power Plant or something, just a bit from the Germantown Police Station, and found a melee weapon called "Fisto!".
Is this noteworthy?
The creepiest thing(s) I have found in the waste was a radio signal from a father and his boy asking for hope. When I found where the signal was coming from, there were two skeletons lying there: one adult and one child. Definitely the most depressing moment I have had in a game in a long time.
" @regularassmilk: Fisto! is my favorite weapon of the game... has been mapped to my top quickkey the whole time. Nothing better than punching people's heads off in one hit! "So I take it thats it powerful?
" @CitizenKane said:Does something trigger the UFO crash? When that happened I couldn't find them, then a spaceship blew up and dropped an alien gun which took me 10 minutes to find, awesome but annoying that I didn't find the family "" The creepiest thing(s) I have found in the waste was a radio signal from a father and his boy asking for hope. Or do you have to be somewhere, or what?
I think my favorite location that I've seen is Evergreen Mills. Really good loot and probably the coolest behemoth section of the game, IMO. I probably have a good quarter to one-third of the locations still to see though. I haven't been to that Andale place yet. I'm making that my top priority :)
Well everytime I scoure my wastes I mostly only find things like bottlecaps, rat bones, half digested ipods and rubber steaks
" @gingertastic_10 said:Think Sweeney Todd." Andale. Best place in the game. "Where is it, and whats so awesome about it? "
" does anyone know whats up with vault 108 and the gary's? "I read in the Vault Tec headquaters that vault 108 was designated as cloning experiement.
And....
GAAAAARRRRYYYYY!!!!
The vaults were creepy to go in, the one with the subliminal messageing that made everyone go mad, and then they left messages on their computer that got weirder and weirder. But the one with the gas that led to hallucinations was freaky as hell! I jumped when my dad appeared out of thin air.
The coolest place i went though?? Hmmmmm the white house, i spent half an hour looking for it before i realized it was the hole in the ground i had been staring at, kinda deppressing though.
The SatCom Array place in the far north-west of the map is awesome, but there's a lot of Enclave dudes hanging around near there which is a bit of a pain. Still, there's some good loot, and a sniper rifle there!

That was cool, I never found a sniper rifle though..... did you launch the orbital nukes?

Where is the Satcom Array near anyway?
Can someone give me a relative location?

I have had two situations when I walked into the Regulator Headquarters and a Sentry Bot, Giant Radscorpion and I believe a Mr. Gutsy, on one occasion, spawned right by the door and started shooting everything in sight. It was totally apeshit crazy and I killed the enemies but not before they wiped out over half the Regulators themselves and the main one fled in terror. I had to do a save from before, where it happened again but the main Regulator didn't flee this time. I had a bunch of fingers to sell.
Canterbury Commons?" I found 2 superheroes dukin it out on a deserted street "
The AntAgonizer and the Mechanist?
For me, Vault 108 tops the list so far. I might have to check out Andale some more, I think I stumbled on it but couldn't unlock the doors to the basement. The bounty hunter HQ was another amazing place, i was in there for a couple of hours clearing the place out.
Also, anyone else find that fault where they had to search for a replacement violin for that erderly radio presenter? haunted vaults......*shudder*
There's also a school somewhere in the deep SW where it goes down into the basement and it's near pitch black dark down there, that was awesome too.
Oasis was just a trip-fest :)
