fallout 3 is a total waste of time 1

absolutely nothing. i have never played a game with so many graphical glitches, audio lags, gameplay bugs, slowdowns as much as this game. and you have to pay an extra £40.00 to play the rest of it. no factions it would be great if you could join the enclave if you were an evil character and do about 20 missions for them, really get immersed but none of that in this game. there is only about 25 side quests and the main campaign is about 8 hours long. and the vats system freezez for a few seconds...

I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire, But It Will Burn 0

Somehow I missed the bandwagon on Fallout 3 when it came out a year ago, but while the DLC slowly poured out, my interest started to pique again as the game's promises were finally seeking my curiosity.  The result was one of the most conflicting feelings of brilliance and joylessness ever conceived with a game and its gameplay. The biggest strength of Fallout 3 is its setting. The mix of retro-50s and futurism is a brilliant mix, and while the story of the apocalypse is more or less pieced toge...

    RPG to the finest 0

Fallout3 took me a while to finish. According to my XFire account, it took me 80 hours to finish, and I am not really sure that every hour was recorded. The game was just too good to rush, so I definitely took a lot of time looking at stuff, killing lots of unneccessary animals and doing lot of things you don't even get achievements for. But it was all worth the while, because the experience is just too great. O I remember the first time I stepped out of the vault. Blinding it was and beautiful....

Ahhh look at that mushroom cloud! 0

Say hello to Power Armor, an iconic figure of the Fallout franchise. It looks totally badass doesn't it? Brief Overview and History Fallout 3 is a post-apocalyptic, first person shooter, role-playing game from Bethesda, previously Bethesda's most well known and successful title was Elder Scrolls, and being that Fallout 3 came after Oblivion, it really wasn't a surprise that it was built using the Gamebryo engine.  Fallout 3 comes, as you might have guessed, from a series of games, namely...

Some technical flaws mar what is otherwise a great RPG 0

No matter how much you like or dislike Bethesda's games, one thing that you can't say about them is that they don't try. Their huge, open-ended role-playing games are incredibly ambitious affairs that offer mind-boggling amounts of content along with gorgeous visuals. Fallout 3 is no exception to the rule. It is perhaps the most ambitious Bethesda game to date. It incorporates the major elements of other Bethesda games and then attempts to roll all of those elements into the Fallout setting. It ...

Story: Fallout 3 takes place roughly 200 years in an alternative future hat broke off form ours around 1960..The short story is that there was a huge global war between China and the US resulting in everything and everybody getting nuked.. You are born ( part of the game even :) ) in an underground vault and one day you find your father missing, turns out he had a spat with the Vault leader and he have left the vault and you find yourself hunted so you have no choice than to leave it too....

Well, Fallout 3 is.. well... Out. Having played it for longer then i should have i have strong mixed feelings. Yes, it looks like Oblivion with guns, But at the same time still has bits of Fallout goodness Sprinkled through out. The Controls on the 360 were Great in my opinion, Felt like Bethesda worked on making it Multi-platform Friendly..Not too many glitches aside from the occasional NPC walking into a wall in an attempt to get to me (MIrelurks should learn to put on no clipping). Fallout 3--Review 0

Fallout 3 from Bethesda is the long awaited addition to the Fallout series.  I personally don't know anything about the past Fallout games so I will just give my personal experience of the game.  To put it simple, Fallout 3 is mostly a post-apocalyptic Oblivion.  In many ways that's a good thing because Oblivion was a great game.  But there are fall backs with Fallout 3.  My personal hang up with the game is the fact that the game ends completely when you finish the main story.  One of the best ...

    Get Ready 0

I say get ready to spend a lot of time with this game, I finished all the side quests and main missions in about 70 hours and I loved every minute of it. I love a game that keeps me coming back where I just want to play every spare 30 minutes just to visit one new place or get a little further searching some building for a new weapon or bobblehead. Can't say enough about this game other than $60 well spent. Can't wait for the dlc to come out, hope Bethesda doesn't keep us waiting too long....

The rare single-player game with massive replay value 0

After beating this game for the first time, I debated whether or not to write a review at the time. The entire northeast corner of my map had gone unchecked, and my gamerscore sat at around 350, most of which was from story missions. After taking a 2 week break (wrought with a desire to continue my wasteland adventures), I decided I'd go back in and leave as few stones unturned as possible. Now about 4-5 hours into my second play through, I am confident in saying that Fallout 3 is pretty awesome...

Fallout 3This is a game where youu fight bad or good creatures level up and get stronger. It is not the classical RPG, it is one in which you go into and never want to get out of.Game PlayThe Game Play is relitvely simple if you have ever played Oblivion, the controls are pratically the same. You can use the V.A.T.S. to take out your enemys in slow motion or you can use your guns regularly. I think the gameplay is ausome, and it is great. V.A.T.S. modeWeaponsThere are many different weapons in t...

From the get-go you feel the roots of a Bethesda game planted throughout Fallout 3 and depending upon your feelings for Oblivion you will either love or hate this game: "Sweet! Oblivion with guns!"or"Great...Oblivion with guns..."Now before I progress allow me to preface that aside from some limited experience with the second Fallout game I did not posses a great deal of knowledge of the universe as I was caught up in Baldur's Gate around that time.  So I had no preconceived notion other than th...

Best Game I've Ever Played 0

While this game isn't perfect, it's closer than any other game I've played. This game has the best of both the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series -- an open expansive world reminiscent of Oblivion, and the post-apocalyptic world of tomorrow of Fallout. For fans of the epic solo genre, I cannot recommend this game enough....

    A Capitol Achievement 0

Disclaimer: I have never played Oblivion, therefor did not hold any pre-assumptions or correlation to previous Bethesda developed games.Fallout 3 is an epic adventure of monumental proportions. In the year 2277, you are living underground in a "vault" built for human habitation away from the hazardous and dangerous realities of the world above. When your father, a respected scientist, flees the vault unannounced, your character chooses to follow him into the wasteland. What follows is a series o...

It's not without faults for sure, but it's still an awesome game. 0

ProsVATS makes blowing guys up pretty satisfying. A bunch of interesting side quests. Gets the whole Post Apocalyptic atmosphere down good. A larger voice cast in comparison to the three-four people they had for Oblivon. ConsThe main quest is extremely short and the conclusion is unsatisfying (though future DLC might rectify that) A lot of the humor just fell flat with me. Despite the fact you can get companions you never actually feel like you NEED them, the game seems pretty doable solo. I...

    Fallout 3 Review (Xbox 360) 0

War, war never changes...  Perhaps one of the most iconic phrases uttered in a videogame (up there with “It’s me, Mario”), and almost certainly the most banal way to begin a review of the return of the illustrious Fallout series  Some things, however, have changed.  Eleven years after the original Fallout first appeared as an isometric RPG, and following the collapse of Interplay, we finally have the third chapter courtesy of new owners and creators of The Elder Scrolls, Bethesda Softworks.  Und...

    Political Fallout 0

Fallout 3 is big. Really big. You might think it's a long way to the corner store, but that's peanuts to Fallout. There is much to love in Fallout. The world is big. The density of content is astounding. While it is a wasteland you travel through, you can't go very far without coming across some sort of landmark, mini-quest, or full fledged dungeon. There is just so much to do. So many people to talk to. Even more to shoot. You could spend over a hundred hours questing and not even touch the mai...

Con'sMy Biggest Complaint is the Main Quest Story Line was unbelieveably short. The Way the game End's is the worst way any RPG should end. Certain areas of the map make you feel restricted even once you pass the entire game those restrictions are still there. You stop leveling up too soon Tooooo many perks were left unused Feels as if the enemy NPC'S will run out because it takes forever for them to respond....sometimes they NEVER DO! Environment was pretty dull and bland....maybe I'm use to O...

    Obli-...Fallout 3 review 0

When I first heard about Fallout 3 coming to the consoles at last E3, I didn’t have much of a clue what Fallout was. I was later informed that  it was from the same developers who brought us Elder Scrolls Oblivion, Bethesda. A game which I fell in love with. There were many reasons for loving Oblivion, with a massive free world and pick your own adventure storyline, it was a game that the player had total control over. With over 50+ hours of playtime in Oblivion, I was expected to do the same in...

    Fallout 3, thank god I wasn't disapointed. 0

Fallout 3. Fallout 1 and 2 were possibly two of the greatest games ever to grace my keyboard. They were funny, immersive, fun to play and had great voice acting. So when it was announced that Bethesda software, makers of the acclaimed ‘Oblivion’  (a game I thought was rubbish –first person melee? Pffff , Pass), Lets just say I wasn’t jumping for joy. But I’m an open minded kind of guy. So I reserved judgement. Fallout 3 starts your character from birth, to the point where you witness your own b...

    An Epic Adventure 0

The lead up to Fallout 3 was an exciting one for me. I had always fancied playing Oblivion but I have never been a huge fan of the whole swords and goblins genre, I am more of a gun guy. Then I heard Fallout 3 is just oblivion with guns, I was sold.Fallout 3 is essentially an RPG set in a post apocolyptic Washington DC. You start of as a young child in Vault 101 a place designed to keep good citizens of the 50's safe from radiation. One day your father decides to wander of out of the vault with ...

    Never Ending Entertainment 0

I'm not a hardcore gamer, and I certainly didn't intend on playing Fallout 3 as much as I have. I bought it for my 360 about one month after the game's release. I'm always late when it comes to playing a new game, but it always works out, even if I do get spoiled here and there. The graphics, of course, are nothing short of incredible and jaw-dropping; I expected nothing less from Bethesda. The dialogue and voice acting is fantastic, I'll often have the NPCs repeat themselves just so I can hear i...

Let me say this game isn't perfect, but it's a lot of great fun to do. I wasn't a fan of the annoying running, random freeze screens, or the horrible lags in the dialog.Other than that it was one of the best games of 2008. I loved the mission where you nuked Megaton into the Abyss of Hades. It was truly wonderful, but I wish they kept the idea for 400 endings....*wakes up from dream*...

    Post-apocalyptic fun 0

Let me start this off by saying that Fallout 3 is an amazingly well done game. There are a few bigger snags to it, like the clunky combat system and the fact that people's eyes in the game don't move or wink, but it's all fogiveable - the expierience is great.  There are a lot of many interesting charecters to meet in the world of Fallout 3, such as Harold, Three-Dog (who I killed, because he spoke bad of me on the radio) and others. The quests are also good, and varied.  I love the storyline of...

Bethesda, known for their infamous Elder Scrolls series which are well known for being massive, expansive and will keep you entertained for a possible hundred hours of total gameplay. Fallout 3 is actually the first game by this company and generally, the series hasn’t had a real entry in the franchise since ten years ago when Fallout 2 was released onto the PC. However since then we have had two so, so spin off games Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel for the PC and Fallout: Brotherhood of S...

The Pitt has finally arrived, taking you through the journey of a slave in the nuclear remains of Pittsburgh. The best Xbox 360 game of 2008. 0

If you were to buy one game for the the 360 right now, it should be Fallout 3. I bought this game on day one, not expecting to play this game for that long - Gears 2 was coming out the next week. However, I was completely wrong, and to this date I have played over 100 hours. The game is set in 2270 (I think) in a post-apocalyptic nuclear setting in Washington D.C. The bomb dropped in 2077, and people stay in fallout shelters (Vaults). Nobody ever enters or leaves the vault, or consequences will ...

    FallOut 3 Review 0

Welcome to post-apocalyptic Oblivion, or at least that's how I feel when it comes to playing FallOut 3. The world has been torn apart and blown to small pieces. As the war really gripped the world some were lucky enough to escape into shelters, or Vaults. In one of these Vaults is where your story begins. If you've ever played Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, you're going to breeze through the learning of controls and such. The music and sound give you a creepy feeling. I really liked the retro radio st...

Fallout 3 is a fantastic game. Why though?Technically is it full of bugs. It crashes and breaks all the time. (At this time patches have fixed it on the xbox 360 version) So it does not win any points for being outstanding from a technology point of view.Gameplay though, that is where it gets all it's stars. I rarely have this much fun with a game. I enjoyed the combat of the game, the leveling decisions to be made and the perks system. The combat in Fallout 3 is bloody and fun. The leveling is d...

    Massive RPG 0

This game mixes the RPG skill system with a shooter, with VATS thrown in.  As a FPS, it doesn't do so well, but VATS helps to make up for this.  The graphics are superb, if somewhat brown, but it is a nuclear wasteland.  The moral decision system is quite straightforward, and I found that there seem to be more rewards for being a good character.  Maybe it's just me though.  The weapons are fun, and fun to use.  Limbs are destructable, and its a spectacle watch a raider be blown to bits by a shot...

    Fallout 3 -- Best Game of 2008 0

I’ve written and deleted at least 9 opening paragraphs to my Fallout 3 review, each entailing and praising a different aspect of the game which I believe, without question, to be the game of the 2008. Throughout this game you do more than just push buttons and read text; you make decisions, you struggle to survive, you build relationships, friendships, a house, you save and destroy those who have nothing and everything, and you build a future for the world you want to call home among everything...

Fallout 3 is the long awaited third entry in the Fallout franchise. While the past games focused on a more diablo style gameplay, Fallout three ( Made by bethesda, creators of the elder scrolls series) Plays more like a turned based RPG/ FPS. The most notable feature in the game is V.A.T.S, When in V.A.T.S the game pauses and lets you pick, what enemy you want to shoot and where you want to shoot them( head, legs, arms etc.) And it's here where the game is at it's best.
