YOU MEAN I CAN DO AS I PLEASE!? 0

oh what fun!!! right away i rigged myself up ready to go on a slaughter fest of the wastes!! about ten hours in i restarted the entire game using a character build faq, because my character seemed to be useless :/ that aside this game provides hours of nonstop fun! u can get slaves pets and bodyguards, go and do what you please, switch in and out of fps and 3rd person perspectives, be good or evil, save or annihilate what remains of humanity, and even side with the monsters in this game. graphic...

    300 Word Review - Fallout 3 0

Fallout 3 is a post-apocalyptic role-playing game from the creators of the Elder Scrolls series, Bethesda Softworks. The game is set 200 years after a nuclear war almost completely annihilated the entire human race, if not for the Vaults which are underground bomb shelters set up by the government. You play as the 'Lone Wanderer', a young adult who lived in Vault 101 his/her entire life and escaped into the decimated ruins of Washington DC.  The main goal you are given at the start of the gam...

fallout... of your chair with excitement 0

i was literally over the moon when i heard they were making another fallout game.  i didn't play the second one, but the first one kind of sucked, so that was the reason I didn't play it.  this game, fallout 3, is a like the 12-course banquet of games, it is long and tasty like a baguette.  i literally fell out of my chair though while playing this game, its just that good.  i met interesting characters and shot at other interesting people and things.  one person i met was so interesting, that i...

    GOTY 2008...still amazing in 2010 0

As somebody who, admittedly, read the complaints of the Fallout community for months about Bethesda's involvement in Fallout 3 instead of original developer Interplay, I had some concerns. True, I like the Morrowind series and thought Oblivion was inspired, but the fans were OUTRAGED~! about the travesty that this game, surely, would devolve into. The game, honestly, is amazing. One of the best RPG's in the last 2 years. Not without some flaws, but nothing to make the game less than a pro...

    Myrmecophobia! 0

Fallout 3 is a first person shooter, RPG, nuclear apocalypse sim all rolled up with the sprinkles of cool storyline. You start off as  a newborn baby covered in slime, this is where the character customization happens as you are shown an image of what you will look like as an adult. You are free to make any changes you like to the default face that  im pretty sure nobody in the entire world would stick with. Unlike Mass Effect, character faces look ugly, and unlike previous Bethesda title Oblivi...

Pros and Cons: Fallout 3 0

Alright guys, picture this: The peeps who made Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion make a game very similar that but set it in post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. Well, welcome to the world of Fallout 3, a game just like I described it in the previous sentence. Coming into this game a huge Oblivion fan, I was expecting huge world to explore with seemingly endless quests and much fun to be had. And, I am happy to say Fallout 3 fulfilled those expectations and even usurped them numerous times.  Pros:  - There...

Fallout 3, Great World, Iffy Shooting 0

Fallout 3 is a tough game for me to grade.  At times I was blown away and immersed in the world, and at times I was frustrated with the shooting mechanics, and item management.  Likewise, at times the world was exciting and immersive, wandering into an abandoned, post-apocalyptic supermarket, or stumbling upon something interesting, but often I was bored with the drab, destroyed environments.  After searching through my 20th destroyed building, I started wishing for some environments tha...

Ah, I've missed you. Come, sit next to me and lets reminisce. 0

I haven't played Fallout 3 since I beat it in... well, November 2008. So, almost 2 years since I've been to the Capital Wasteland. I've been buying up the add-ons, but it' wasn't until a few of my friends kept going on and on about this mission or that and re-playing this incredibly open game and I decided "Me too! I shall start up again!"  So I did, and yea it was great. Even better with the DLC too!  I won't get too into the story, the voice acting (or how you can spot the same voice actor al...

    Agreed 0

Fallout 3 is a brand new story, it may not be along side the original or a direct sequel, but it is a game you can hop into whether you like shooters, or RPGS.. Be it, the hand to hand is kind of lame to say the least, lobbing a grenade into a crowd of four or more is infinitely worth more kicks. I find Fallout 3 to be one of VERY few games I have on my shelf that is RE-playable. I would give Batman a higher rating for its story and playability, because its a beat'em up which is my style of game...

    feel the radioactive love 0

Before you play fallout 3 or read this review there’s one thing you need to know. Fallout 3 is the single buggiest game I’ve ever played. And its also one of the greatest games ive ever had the chance to enjoy. During the game i've seen deathclaws (the games uber monster) fall directly up into the sky, beaten protectrons slowly and staidly start to stretch across the room and the outside world literally start to break up into intangible squares in the sky. None of these things affected my fun...

Good game except for the repetitive radio communicativeness with GNR and Enclave radio. DLC was great but somewhat repetitive along with the radio frequencies. There were little bumps here and there the 'new' VATS is really good. The game is easy to fill hours into restlessly. Truly deserved game of the year. It defiantly had ups and id defiantly had downs  ...

    Awesome game 0

I had heard so much about this game so I just had to try it. At first I was unsure if I would like it or not. The game starts a bit slow and I was about to give up after the first couple of hours. Then, the storyline pulls you in and the shooting portion of the game takes over. There are sooo many missions to fulfill. Particularly if you get the DLCs. Most of the side quests are long and very entertaining. The side quests do an excellent job at making players forget about the main story. That's ...

    Endless Fun 0

I overheard a friend talk about this game, it didn't really intrigue me until he said "I put my bottle caps in an oven." It sounded really weird, and I like weird. I brought it the next day, and I wasn't disappointed. That was 4 years ago.The game's look is fantastic. I seen enough apocalypse games to keep me a life time, but the '50s style just makes this game unique, as well as a lot of other things. The game's quests are endless, when you think you have done them all, there are more. I love t...

    Fallout 3 0

I haven't played any of the other Fallout games, but from what I can tell, Bethesda's first stab at the series takes the skill system and trademark sense of humor and transplants them effectively into Oblivion's engine. Coming out two and a half years later Fallout 3 isn't the big step forward I was hoping for, but it's still a great game when you play it. It still has some of Oblivion's glitches and awkward moments, but it does do a fair amount of things better. Characters look better, and ther...

Great game to be played by all!!! 0

Fallout 3 is an action role playing game by Bethesda Softworks. Along the lines of Oblivion, Mass Effect and Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout 3 places a huge emphasis on making the player carry out a slew of moral choices throughout the game. If you enjoyed playing some of the aforementioned RPG titles, than you will find yourself playing Fallout 3 for hours on end to view as much of the available content within the game. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic Washington DC in the year 22...

If you ever wondered how a post apocalyptic Washington D.C. would 0

The Fallout series has originated on the PC, but now, it has come to the consoles. While hardcore fans wanted the same crazy Fallout game world, this game is more console orientated, it's more casual. That's not necessarily a bad thing you may say, and it isn't always but there are times when you wish you had the same crazy world from the original PC games. That's of course if you even played it. And if you haven't you won't care much. But for those who did play Fallout 1 and 2 on the PC, this g...

Fallout 3 Six Months Later 1

Fallout 3 is a great game and is icredible fun to play over and over again and this is because of the amount of hidden content that can be found at each location that you visit and depending on what skills you have you may not be able to do it so you will have to remeber and come back later.Visuals Six months later and the game still looks good and graphics still look good today and the wasteland is huge but of course it is a wasteland so it does not have a lot of things in it unless you are at...

    Fallout 3 RE... 0

Like all games, this one could be better. When Im trying to fight my way through Monsters and Gaint Fire Ants of Death it take the littlest thing to kill the character. All this game needs it a motorcycle. Yea, why walk everywhere when a dirt bike or a futureistict pair of wheels will do. Remember when you buy this,...... buy a game guide or you'll be on the internet for an hour wondering where Big Town is. lol. Once you get a hang of it and the rule of being around other people,.... this game c...

    Fallout 3 0

Back in the mid 90s Black Isle created the post apocalyptic series Fallout. It's been eleven years since the release of Fallout 2, and the game has never had a true third title. With Black Isle out of business Bethesda, the makers of Oblivion and oddly many bowling games, took over the Fallout series. In the Black Isle games it was a point and click, PC, turn based RPG. Bethesda turned it all around making it more of a shooter, and more of a first/thi...

    Love / Hate 0

I never really got into the Fallout series until a few weeks ago. I remember purchasing Fallout 3 with some friends at release - not knowing a thing about it - and returning it a whooping four days later. It wasn't because I didn't like the game but it was more because after emerging from Vault 101 I just didn't have any incentive to run around an open world. Now, don't get me wrong I loved Oblivion and it starts almost the exact same way with you escaping the sewers, but Oblivion also didn't l...

How I Loved to Hate Fallout 3 0

Right from the start, I had a love/hate relationship with Fallout 3.  It all started with my BB gun and that first altercation with a guard within Vault 101.  When he saw me and started bashing me repeatedly, I didn’t know what I was supposed to do.  Do I try to actually KILL this guy with a BB gun, just for doing his job?  Do I just try to run away?  In the parlance of Rodney King, “Can’t we all just get along?”  I loved that I HAD a choice, but hated that I was so unsure of what the “right” th...

Pros:-Massive world to explore-Nearly endless amounts of gameplay-Freedom to make who you want, go where you want, and do what you want-Insane amount of content and variety-VATS is great-RPG elements are deep, expansive, and addictingCons:-3rd person perspective is clumsy-Some combat mechanics are clunky-A little buggy/glitchyFallout 3 comes from the same team that brought us the amazing Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion, and while there are definately some similarities, Fallout 3 retains it's own ident...
