Yea I was just curious (have it on PC too) and saw the price of $0.00 then everyone and their mother must have been trying to access it cuz the page crapped out.
Says it's not available now.

It said free for a sec but now says not available.

I was just able to grab the Digital Deluxe version through the iOS app. I expect they'll revoke the licenses, though.

I got it about 45 minutes ago on the Canadian XBox Store. Not sure if they've taken it down yet, but currently I have both the game and season pass. Provided I get to keep it I might do a second play through and finally check out Far Harbor.

That is the correct price for this product!

I've seen a bunch of people post screenshots of support chat logs saying it's a legit promotion? I'm still waiting for a higher up to make a statement, what's out their now sounds like filler talk.

Either way, they can't charge the people who already picked it up. That's illegal, so don't worry about that.

Already had the base game but grabbed the Deluxe Version for the DLC. Hopefully if/when they remove the game it'll leave my other version alone.

Well I at least nabbed the Season Pass. Assuming the licenses aren't revoked, I might pick up the full game when it's on sale since I already own the game w/o the DLC on PS4.

Everytime I check Twitter (not that often) I get something good out of it, in this case a free Fallout 4! I never even played any other Fallout.

The mods don't generate any money. I don't see any way this could be a legitimate business/marketing decision.

What a weird thing. I find it impossible to believe it intentional. They still have more DLC coming out so giving that all away for free sounds insane.

I imagine there was meant to be a weekend discount on the base game because of E3. It's cool that people can check out the DLC now though, Automatron is a great addition to the base game and Far Harbour is maybe better than the base game.

They've made plenty of money so far, maybe it's an accidental early E3 "release".

I just pulled up the Fallout 4 page on my Xbox One and it's all at the normal price, so this appears to have been corrected (if a mistake) or reverted (if intentional).

@rinsatori: seems fair if people were grabbing it knowing it was a mistake. just hope people don't legit complain if/when they lose it (they will).

Yeah they're revoking licences for anyone that got it free. You could disconnect from Xbox Live though and possibly play it but not sure of the ramifications of that.

... this is the case. Then it will probably actually be a pretty good game.

As a coda to this confusing affair, I just got this message from Xbox Live:

"Our pricing error on Fallout 4 has been fixed and your free download will no longer work. For the inconvenience we will deposit $10 by the end of June in your Microsoft Account. This expires one year from the time it was deposited."

All told I can't complain. I never believed they would allow us to keep Fallout 4, but giving $10 credit it a pretty nice gesture.

@darth_navster: I too got this message (just grabbed one DLC pack). Can't complain about a free $10!

Does anyone know how the licence revoking works or how long it takes them to do this? I got the message from Microsoft about it, but I'm still able to play the DLC content....

@colonel_pockets: same here as of yesterday. The message says that by the end of the month (June) but thats for the $10 they want to hand out.

What a weird thing. I grabbed it but I havent used my x1 in months. No idea what I'll do with the $10 voucher.
