A Sinful First Look At Fallout: New Vegas
man i feel as if i'm watching the slow decline of brads health through giant bomb videos, he used to be a slim handsome chap, all this time in the basement has not done him any good. Needs to get out running in the bay or something
p.s i will lap this up, fallout 3 is my favourite single player 360 game
Awesome! New Vegas is shaping up to be everything I hoped it to be.
Brad, you seriously didn't use any companions? I got all that I could, though the super mutant companion you can get near the end of the story made things a bit too easy, it was always fun to hear him screaming with joy in the midst of battle. I hope the companions in New Vegas are as much fun.
Don't forget how buggy Obsidian games can be. KOTOR 2 was terrible as well from a story standpoint. Dialogue would cycle through before you could read it. The only area I think that they could improve upon is with character animations. That has never been Bethesda's strong point.
The only problem i had with fallout 3 and oblivion was the retarded ass looking 3rd person animations. I still love those games :)
" Well, since "Fallout 3" is exactly what I don't want out of a game, I'll definitely be skiping on New Vegas. I know there's a lot of people that liked Fallout 3, but man did I hate that thing. "I agree. Just something about the combat doesn't look fun to me at all.
I'm glad they're gonna space out the releases of New Vegas & Alpha Protocol at least.
I probably put 200 or more hours into Fallout 3...I wish it was only "dozens"..lol.
Man, it sounds like there might be a hardcore New Vegas achievement. I'm not sure I'm gonna look forward to that if it's as hard as it sounds...might make it tough to S-rank.

"ehhh....the stimpak thing just means you need to watch your health closer. Water probably won't be hard to find after awhile, especially if you have a water dispensing robot butler again. Ammo having weight is the hardest thing about this, but I think at some point you could just store your ammo and go back to your home whenever you need to. Just means you'll have to go back to your house more often.
I'll be getting this one, really want to hear about the actual Vegas stuff though. This is also a fine reminder that I should finish Broken Steel and Point Lookout.
The first time I played Fallout 3 I didn't knew there where followers until I met Charon in the Underworld. After that Fawkes. Now I just get a follower right away. It makes exploring easier, and leaves you more time to explore instead of focusing on continuesly respawning enemies.
Am I the only one who finished Fallout 3 feeling a little empty? I mean, it was good and everything, but when I finally finished it all I thought of it as a well done mod of Oblivion with a less interesting environment.
Then again, as long as they don't have those annoying metro tunnels, I'll probably get it.
FFFFFFFUUUUUUU...
Fallout 3 was my drug of choice from launch and, thanks to DLC, it kept me hooked through (almost) all of 2009. Now, with Fallout: New Vegas being built upon Fallout 3's engine, using a lot of the things that made Fallout 3 so damn addictive, I'm gonna spend the remainder of 2010 and a good chunk of 2011 playing this, as my already-full backlog grows...
I hope this is not as broken as Fallout 3!! I got GOTY edition on PS3 and its crashed a lot!! Awesome game though!! lol
Can't wait for this. I put something like 150 hours into Fallout 3 and all the DLCs and I can't wait to step back into that universe. The tweaks Obsidian made all sound positive to me although Hardcore mode sounds a little too hardcore for me. I'm the type of guy that likes to carry 10 guns and two full sets of armor and an ungodly amount of ammo so I'd never be able to move in New Vegas' hardcore mode.
Also, how could you play Fallout 3 without companions? I never went anywhere without Fawkes once I got him as a companion.
this looks dissapointing already. unicycling robots? gtfo!
however I am still excited and hoping that this is at least a hundred times better than fallout 3
