Bright Lights And Bombs: The Fallout: New Vegas E3 Trailer

I really am excited for New Vegas. I was a huge fan of Fallout 3 and the Elder Scrolls IV. I can't wait to see what Obsidian can do with the engine. Also, it seems like the technical specs will probably be pretty reasonable. I assume they're the same as Fallout 3. So, my laptop will be able to run it on medium settings. =)
" I'll buy it. Iron Sights sold it to me as standard gunplay was my main problem with Fallout 3. Seriously though, update the fucking engine. It looks awful by todays standards. "I'm actually really ok with them using the old engine. Means that it will run well on medium range hardware. My laptop runs Fallout 3 on Medium settings, so I assume it will run this game about the same. Going to college this fall and I won't have a PS3 or 360. I have to use my laptop for gaming now.
I'm hoping they'll be able to rapidly convert mods like FOOK2 and FWE, because it's the same engine.
Oh, and please get more than three fucking voice actors, which seems to be Bethesda's signature.
I think fans of this type of RPG tend to be much more critical as compared to fans of shooters and action/adventure games which is generally a good thing. I just got my copy of Fallout 3 a few days ago and its going to take me a while to play through. But this trailer looks awesome even if the Vegas Wasteland looks pretty similar to the DC Wasteland.
" @JustTheDoctor: You'll probably find they can't post the video on the site itself as its exclusive to gametrailers for the time being but can link it of course. "I know that. In the past they've waited until they were able to post it through their video player. So I don't know whats up with that.
The only thing stopping me from pre-ordering this (360) is that fact it's got Obsidian's name on it. Need a review first to make sure they didn't totally F up the already messed up (but lovable) gameplay of Fallout 3.
" @Downandout said:Its because its coming up to e3 I guess, meaning they want to get as much content on the site as possible instead of being days late compared to other sites." @JustTheDoctor: You'll probably find they can't post the video on the site itself as its exclusive to gametrailers for the time being but can link it of course. "I know that. In the past they've waited until they were able to post it through their video player. So I don't know whats up with that. "
I hope it takes longer than 15 hours to finish. That's my primary concern after
playing Alpha Protocol.
I spent more hours with Fallout 3 than any other game this generation.
Needless to say, I am really pumped for this!
"Oh Great, Fallout 3.5"?
You say that like its some sort of bad thing. I hope i can bring my character over somehow (or at least use mod + character converters)
