Do you ever get a house where you can store your crap? If so, where is it?
Thanks

The post-apocalyptic Fallout universe expands into Nevada in this new title in the franchise. As a courier once left for dead by a mysterious man in a striped suit, the player must now set out to find their assailant and uncover the secrets of the enigmatic ruler of New Vegas.
Can You Own a Home Like Fallout 3?
I thought temporarily that the Lucky 38's suite sucked... because if you talk to the robot outside he says only you're allowed inside — no companions. However, if you ignore him and just click the door, your followers have no problems joining you! I almost didn't move from Novac to the Lucky 38 for that reason lol.
So far I've just hijacked one of the houses in Primm, not like the people there are going to care...with them being dead and all. It aint too bad, really.
Unlike Fallout 3, you can pretty much sleep wherever you can find a bed, which is convenient but it lacks coolness factor of using Megaton as a hub world. Megaton always made it feel like Central HQ for me. Like I was king of a fortress. Still haven't encountered any cities like that, probably because I'm supposed to go to New Vegas but I've been meandering around doing side quests.
Actually I've also found this abandoned farm, which has a pretty nice setup as well, might move all my stuff into there, when I have the chance.
i have like 4 houses. only really use the one in the penthouse of the 38 casino. bought all the upgrades for storage and crafting already. will be nice if i find a house that doesnt take a walk to get to from a zone though.

If you do quests for certain factions you can unlock safehouses where you can store loads of stuff, the Brotherhood of Steel safehouse has a few lockers, work bench, ammo bench and a bed.
A quick look on the map and I found a followers safehouse and legion safehouse too.
" Any idea if the stuff you leave in those lockers in the Lucky 38 penthouse will actually stay there? I know in Fallout 3 you couldn't necessarily count on the stuff left in your Megaton home being there whenever you came back to it. "that was mostly a glitch, I have over 600 hours in fallout 3 and never experienced it my stuff always remained...

Arrived in Novac to my delight, finally had that moment where I sat realised that I can now store all my stuff. It did take me 10 hours to get to that point though. God damn fallout.
Didn't realize you could get a hotel room as a safehouse, been trying to get one for a while now, been just storing stuff on my 2 companions. Problem though, that hotel lady is kinda dead, so I hope I can get the key from the shopkeeper like someone mentioned. I took her out to get shot by Boone.
I had considered doing this, because one of those houses has a work bench AND reloading bench inside. Only problem is the place looks like crap." I had just gotten to Novac myself and hadn't yet rented the room. I'm glad that before I spent the 100caps, I heard it's "miserable." Especially since I blew my wad on That Gun.
Personally, I've been using the trailer at Goodsprings Source. Clean water nearby, bed, and footlocker have been good for now. Though I would like a place that didn't look so ghetto.

This is good to hear. I want a place with upgrades and stuff like in the past." Just got to the Strip, and there, you do have a house of the traditional variety, tons of upgrades and all. The only hard part is going to be transferring all my crap from Nova over. Don't have enough barter to get that quick travel perc. "
So I finally got the home in Novac last night and it actually wasn't that bad at all. I little messy, sure, but a lot of storage space. Doesn't have the pure water either that Goodsprings Source did but ah well, I have my trusty canteen. It'll definitely do till I get to the strip. I'm not trailer trash anymore yay!
