I probably won't but it until long after so it's no big deal.

But man, I really don't want to but it on the 360, I hope they release some good stuff on the PS3.

Well I bought it for the 360, but this would have been better if they had told people more in advance as DLC could be the deciding factor for purchase. I know it was with GTA4. I bet these are only timed exclusives, and the GOTY version will have all DLC included. Sucks for people who have already preordered it for the PS3, but if it really bothers them then they still have time to cancel if they want.

I'm annoyed that both Sony and Microsoft keep doing this, it's really bad for the fans.  The fact both of them keep securing such aggressive deals is only making things worse.
But I plan on waiting for the GoTY version regardless, so meh.  Have fun beta testing the game for me guys  :)

Well, I would almost be angry, but then remembered i'll have thousands upon thousands of mods for the PC version, so we're all good.

The talk of exclusive DLC isn't new.  Just the same, by the time that any dlc comes out, I'll probably be done with the game anyways.  All I really care about is the retail product right now; I'll worry about DLC if I'm still interested after 30 hours which I don't know if I will be.  Was never interested in most of the Fallout 3 dlc except for Broken Steel.

Considering this is only a deal for the first pack, it could well be completely exclusive.  I'm sure MS have learned that timed exclusives aren't really doing anything for them and all of Sony's big proper exclusives have done far bigger business.
    But who knows.

true that! infact much of the community made mods on the PC version were even better than the DLC's bethesda released. :p

Oh for sure, like FOOK2 and FWE?  Man, I've played through FO3 8 times because of mods.

360 version will sell the best and be the most popular. Makes sense.

No surprise here. I don't think I will wait for the GOTY edition as I want to play it ASAP. I don't want to waste time playing the game next year, when new games are going to be out.

This doesn't "make sense" in the slightest. This is just MS paying money for exclusivity.

And it sucks. I want a publisher to stand up for the fans and say, "we're not going to limit content to millions of customers for financial gain, we're releasing all content to all systems simultaneously."  That would be some good PR methinks.

All i hear when they announce "exclusive DLC" is "hey we're selling out!"

Gaming was simpler before XBOX got involved.  Anyways I'm just bitter they didn't announce this 2 days ago before i bought it on Steam.

My gut feeling is that it'll be a timed exclusive, despite rumors to the contrary.  Then the other systems will get it, too, and everyone will be happy.

@Nadafinga:  They supported the 360 version of FO3 with multiple Timed exclusive DLC. It does make sense in terms of what they have been doing before. Who cares if MS gave them money. Why don't Sony give them money? Oh that's right they rather waste their money on the 100 year development of Gran Turismo 5.

I could not care less since it's Obsidian, who I am biased against because they screwed up Neverwinter Nights 2.

Exclusive doesn't really mean much in this day and age.  PS3 and PC duders will see it, eventually.

OK, I'm with you here. I agree that the exclusivity news isn't a surprise, but I still don't like the precedent that's been set.

Who cares?  Man I sure do, and so does everyone else who wants the DLC on the PS3. You can't deny the fact that console-exclusive DLC takes gameplay out of the hands of fans, and puts money into the pockets of the publishers.

Why don't Sony give them money?

What, DLC is held captive now, and is awarded to the highest bidder? You're OK with this mentality?

The only thing I hate about these threads is how hard it is to distinguish between the pissed off Sony/PC gamers and the genuinely naive.

That GT comment was a legitimate non fanboy response, don'y get your knickers in a twist. I don't give a crap about time exclusive DLC. It happens. Brotherhood and DS2 is getting Exclusive DLC for Ps3 most likely timed. I wouldn't complain unless it never comes out on 360. Then again i'll just go ahead and buy PS3 version if that's the case. One way to look at it is 360 version will be heavily pirated, Ms compensates publishers by paying them for exclusive DLC. 360 version sells a bit more, Publisher gains rewards with more money.
