Fallout: New Vegas screenshots have surfaced and it looks pretty sweet. Here's a link to them. I didn't want to upload fifteen images.

Fallout: New Vegas Screenshots Surface
" This game may look exactly like Fallout 3 but that just make me more excited for it . I hope that this is an indication that they will be keeping the same core systems for the game with some tweaks, updates, and new features. "Same here. I like the look of that "response wheel thing".
At first I was a bit disappointed because it looks like a big ass wasteland again (on the Bombcast they were saying it was still a functioning city, so I was expecting a bit more buildings, but obviously this isn't the whole game) but then I became immediately more excited because I saw real weapons (M4 Carbine, Beretta 92FS).
I loved Fallout 3 though, so I am definitely looking forward to this.
Looks more similar to Fallout 3 that I would have imagined, not that it comes as a huge surprise. I'm more interested to see how it is in motion. It had better not run like shit and hopefully it's a lot less buggy too. Basically, I want this to be how F3 should have been in the first place.
Well we already knew that New Vegas was going to be more of a companion piece to Fallout 3 rather than a full sequel so obviously its going to use a lot of the same assets, but with some enhancements. Not to mention that is wasn't the graphics that made Fallout 3 so great.
Hmm...looks like it could use some more polish, but it's probably a year or two out, so that's understandable.
I'd like to hear more about how the party system works; like the idea behind the wheel from what I can tell from the pic.
Considering the amount of time i've spent, and continue to spend in fallout 3, it gives me a good feeling about new vegas to see these screenshots .
" they should make it more like an fps "Hell no. The combat was perfect. This is an RPG, not an FPS RPG like Borderlands.
Well this seems like it will be a disappointment.
Looks exactly like Fallout 3 but even more deserted.
Where's my Elder Scrolls 5?
"Looks like Fallout......
"
Somebody could say this is a screenshot from Fallout 3 and nobody would argue.
Seriously I'm totally disappointed by the look, because let's be honest Fallout 3 didn't look that great to begin with, but to keep it the exact same now? Oh well, hopefully since they are clearly spending no time on the graphics they'll be able to fix it up to be less buggy and weird.
I know this is probably an early build but I really hope the final game looks better. Those screenshots looked like crap.
Hmmm. Well, yeah, the graphics aren't up to snuff, but it is still a bit early. And these might not be current, for all we know. It looks similar enough to Fallout 3 that I'm happy, and some of the interface stuff piques my interest. Fallout 3 looked fine (nothing all that special, in my opinion), and I'd be content if New Vegas was about the same. Graphics aren't everything, after all. I'm not *concerned* or *disappointed,* but I can say that I'm still very cautious about getting my hopes up. We'll see more shortly, I suspect.
This being Obsidian, I do not doubt for a second it will take at least another year before it is released (unless Bethesda pulls something like LucasArts did with KotOR 2).
Looks like its pretty close to the fallout 3 VATS and so forth, so I'm happy with that. I just hope to god that it's not as glitchy.
Well, actually, some of the weird glitches I would get were pretty damn hilarious.
Wow...it sure looks like..Fallout 3, I have to say I am rather disappointed, I wasn't expecting anything huge, but with a cool new setting and a little freedom I thought we would get a little more than...just..more Brown. Don't take this the wrong way I loved Fallout 3 warts and all but....come on...
I thought since Vegas seems to have electricity this game would have a different look to it. I loved Fallout 3 but these screenshots disappoint me to no end.
ok so i LOVED the SHIT out of fallout 3, but this looks the same and im sorry to say that this engine was already outdated in 2008 and using a 4 year old engine in 2010 is just unfair. ps did anyone notice the m4? how the hell does that fit in2 the fallout universe? :S
I can see this being like Fallout 3 but with better and more fluid storylines, characters and missions, much like KOTOR2 was compared to KOTOR1, or Assassins Creed 2 is compared to AC1. I can't wait!
Alsoit's a shame that most people want to cry about the graphics rather than the gameplay, these are obviously early screenshots so making all these comments about graphics is just sad
Did everyone else notice the M4 that the character was using to shoot the super mutant? I thought they didn't have those...
It looks like Fallout 3 but with brighter colors and more life
As for the combat, I think that it could be touched up so that it's easier to shoot people manually. It always felt clunky and I just enjoyed using VATS more. Basically, if they're going to allow us to manually shoot people, they should make it so that it's easy to manually shoot people.
I'm also excited for the "hardcore" mode- liquids must be drunk periodically to prevent dehydration, bullets have weight, stimpacks heal over time, and enemies are smarter.
@nail1080: I agree. Fallout 3 wasn't about good graphics, I don't care if New Vegas looks any better. And I really didn't expect it to, since it was using the same engine and everything.
@nail1080: I have the same hope, only I remember the technical glitches and problems that kinda made KotoR2 a royal pain in the ass compared to the first. Still, given how good Fallout 3 was, even just falling short of Fallout 3 levels of quality would still make it worth playing. So there's some play here. I'm still hoping for better, just .... tempered hopes.
One of the VATS pictures implies that you can hit golf balls at enemies. Cool.
EDIT: Oh, I guess one of the images just straight up has that. My bad.
I was kind of worried that Obsidian was going to change it a lot, but boy am I happy that it is basically Fallout 3. I played A LOT of Fallout 3 and I'll probably play a lot of New Vegas.
Because Elder Scrolls IV was much better? It was prettier, yes, but god damn was it an empty game. Must be the biggest game world ever, to have absolutely nothing of interest in it at all. If they can make it more like Morrowind? Yes please, but if it's more of this dumbed down, barren, Elder Scrolls IV schlock? No thanks.. Shivering Isles at least seemed to indicate they knew they screwed up." Well this seems like it will be a disappointment. Looks exactly like Fallout 3 but even more deserted. Where's my Elder Scrolls 5? "
Fallout 3 at least had some interesting locations to discover as oppossed to Oblivions absolute nothingness. Of course being set in a desert means there's likely going to be a lot of desert.. But the wild west style towns look great, and the actual city should be quite impressive. The fact they're very much basing it on Fallout 3 is a good thing, in my opinion. It means Obsidian can focus on what they do best: the story.
" @Kyreo said:To whom does the gameplay feel dated? And Im sure their tweaking the gameplay aspects and stuff..." @natetodamax: @HatKing: @MAN_FLANNEL: Gameplay > Graphics "That would work if the gameplay of Oblivion/Fallout 3 and presumably New Vegas didn't feel dated. "
