You know, I kind of like it when reviewers say, "screw it," a give a game a "bad" score because they feel it deserves it.
Also, anyone with any brains should realize that 7.5 is not a "bad" score. Don't complain. I know the point of this topic isn't about the score, but I know there's going to be tons of people whining about it.
@KaosAngel: I would not mind some Van Ord in my GiantBomb.
Its not gamespots fault that the game sucked. It had so many issues it should have gotten a lower score." Gamespots rating system is fucking terrible. "

This has been going on for a good while. Adam Sessler talks about it in his latest Soapbox and I totally agree with what he says.
The ign review is pretty shocking, its glowing and manages to completely omit any mention of technical issues. I'm all for loving fallout, but you can't just disregard it's flaws.

" A 7.5 is a fair score, there's nothing wrong with that. Its very dependent on the reviewer as well. I like how people complain when other sites give high scores for a overrated game, but then also complain when they give a low score. Are you guys really that bitchy? "This isn't about the score. Maybe it matters to the publisher, but it wasn't about that initially. It was about the disappearance of the review.
" @Meteora said:If we're talking about that; then its got to do with advertisers not being happy with review scores being posted during their campaign run. Adam Sessler just talked about this recently on his Soapbox." A 7.5 is a fair score, there's nothing wrong with that. Its very dependent on the reviewer as well. " Gamespots rating system is fucking terrible. "It is. They gave Transformers War for Cybertron a 6.5. Really?
" @Belmont_Shadow said:I think Belmont is more referring to the fact that an average score, mathematically, is 5, and most games score well above that. Kinda defeats the purpose of a 10-point system when you only use 6.5-10.Its not gamespots fault that the game sucked. It had so many issues it should have gotten a lower score." LOL, people need to let the whole "reviewers getting paid off" thing alone.. just stop.
The site fucked up and the game got the score it got, and the game was broken, some reviewers can look past it, and still acknowledge it (GB and IGN) and some sites dont (GS), it's all opinions. But the game got patched today so maybe some sites will put up a second opinion or something, who knows.
I don't care about gamespot. I think they are unreliable, and in my mind this kind of supports that.
well, I don't get any reference from gaming websites for what it is good or not. what the importance is me. if I like game, that will be fine. if it is not, it is sucks no matter what these websites give it high score or not. their reviews are personal. so it is various how they look at the game for review. so it's just not really. honestly, fallout new vegas still remains shitty graphic, old engine like fallout 3. texture is ugly. playing through is so boring. I can't play this for more than two hours. why I am easily bored. open land, so wide, it's all about exploration. it's nice. but I might lose all purpose. I think that I have to uninstall this shit. it's not mine. I want some dynamic playing to get continued excitement. two days ago, I just restarted dead space. it's way way better than this shitty game. whether you disagree with me or not, it doesn't matter. it's my opinion. don't argue.
