As the title says. I now got a pretty messed up view. This happend right after i entered Camp Guardian Cave and then leaved. A simple load doesn't help, though a restart of the game helps for about 5 minutes before it fucks-out...I can't load before that because, well, i don't have any saves post that cave. It's "almost" unplayable now, and i've spent about 50 hours into this character. Anyone got suggestions? or am i totally screwed right now?
Stuff i've tried:
- Load (Did not fix)
- Restart the game (Fixed for 5 minutes or so)
- Wear sunglasses (Did not fix)
- Fast travel (Fixed for like 2 seconds)
I will also point out:
-My head is NOT crippled
- I dont have any perks that will give nightvision
- Im not addicted to any chems
- I haven't used any items that gives nightvision
Oh, and i wont hear any stupid jokes like if it my eyes or something. It got tiresome really fast.
Fallout: New Vegas
Game » consists of 25 releases. Released Oct 19, 2010
The post-apocalyptic Fallout universe expands into Nevada in this new title in the franchise. As a courier once left for dead by a mysterious man in a striped suit, the player must now set out to find their assailant and uncover the secrets of the enigmatic ruler of New Vegas.
I now got a dimmed and blurred vision. Help?
Two suggestions:
First, are you addicted to any chems?
Second, did you have your head crippled, and took a doctors bag during one of the phases where your vision gets blurred? The game seems to bug a bit with fixing your head when you go through that, then it sticks around. Loading a new area usually helps me.
Also @neoepoch: the Four Eyes perk doesn't blur vision if you don't have glasses on. It just gives you a -1 Perception without glasses on.
"Of all the glitches, this one sounds the most annoying "
It sure is.

"Did you used Fixer? It sometimes have the same effect as in crippled head or maybe you are getting hit by the Lurks' attacks "
Nope.

No and no. I entered the cave. Talked to a guy inside, leaved the cave through water and suddently my vision got shit-stormed.
" Did you get the Boots of Blinding Speed? You need a good magic resistance to use them effectively. I recommend choosing Breton as your race. "I just navigated with the minimap.
Only Google, though, i did not find much other that one other guy with a similar problem, but he did not have any workaround either.
I would also like to ask if someone got balls and would try this out? I don't recommend it, but if someone is willing to go to camp guardian cave and do the little note quest, heal the man isnide and kill every lurks and then leave through the water at the lowest area, i would really appreciate it just to see. I will contact Obsidian if the new patch that comes out doesn't fix it, or if i dont find any workarounds. It seems that this bug is a rare one.
Is it the same visual effect as using Cateye (a washed out, sorta monochrome effect)? If so, I kept getting that randomly throughout the game, usually starting in the middle of a fight. It always went away again eventually but it did last a while in some cases.
The internet suggests you try sleeping (or I guess waiting might do it).
It's like when you're head is crippled or you're addicted to chems, without the "bip" sound, and the brightness is turned almost all the way down. I've not tried cateye before so i'm not sure. And i've tried wait and sleep, though it fixed itself for 2 seconds, just like fast travel did. Turning the brightness on the Tv is the only solution and workaround i got right now, but it's really messed up.
Well guys, i've tried everything now. You name it, and i've done it. Playing with the pip-boy light, loading, saving, restarting, putting on and off the items, fast travel, sleep, wait, jump up and down, up and down in the water, in and out of doors, crouching, shooting, aiming... and the list goes on and on... But i'm not really mad though. I will wait for the new patch this month and pray, if not, i will avoid these FUCKING caves and start a new character. It's a good game, except for those bugs.
go back into guardian cave to the first light, your vision will clear up, then turn around and walk out and it should be fixed.

Well it is a little late for that guy, but I guess if someone else runs into it they can try this.
