I always loved starting a new game on Fallout 3 and using the explosives perk so I could immediately get my house in Megaton. Is there anything equivalent that early (or at all) in New Vegas? I'd like a place to stash all of my stuff.... and decorate <.< >.>
Fallout: New Vegas
Game » consists of 25 releases. Released Oct 19, 2010
The post-apocalyptic Fallout universe expands into Nevada in this new title in the franchise. As a courier once left for dead by a mysterious man in a striped suit, the player must now set out to find their assailant and uncover the secrets of the enigmatic ruler of New Vegas.
is there a house you can own?
Kinda.
There's a hotel room if you get accepted in Novac. There's probably more, but I haven't found them.
I'm guessing Novac is one of the smaller factions? I've mostly been roaming around so far just scrounging so I haven't gotten much story in. None, in fact. Finished Goodsprings is all.

"No, Novac is just the name of a motel you'll have to visit during the main quest, and you "rent" one of the rooms for 100 caps.

It's worth noting that "rent" in this case means own. You never have to pay. "Okay, thanks guys. I'll keep playing. If you find out of anything else let me know. :]
You do eventually get a free permanent dwelling. It's pretty massive too, presumably to fill up with all the companions you don't currently have rolling around with you. It just takes longer to get than in Fallout 3. It's also worth noting that once you're "Liked" in Novac, the lady will give you a room for free.
" @Turambar: You get it for free if you're accepted. And it's a town, the motel itself is called dinky dino's something-or-other. I dunno. Something to do with the dinosaurs. It's worth noting that "rent" in this case means own. You never have to pay. "accepted? im like praised in that town and i still had to pay like 100 caps, they havent made me pay sense and hopefully all my stuff im stashing there stays.
by accepted do you mean the first payment?
Yeah i am almost done doing missions there anyways unless i am already done and ill be going back to pillage that town :D" @Styl3s: All I know is I was accepted when I talked to the landlord lady and she said it was free on account of my help, I didn't have to pay the 100 caps. It's really not a big deal though, you've paid it and you won't have to pay again. "
First play through like i said im going to murder everyone, i might wait a bit on some towns to do a mission or 2 but in the end they will all die because i am a bad duder, i wanna see if you get a different ending for playing as pure evil
