Does anyone know if it is possible to diffuse the bomb in the monorail? I've got the activation code but every time I try to get to the bomb the monorail sets off. Even when I get to the door before it moves I don't seem to be able to get in, so I am assuming it is not possible.
Has anyone had any luck?

It is. Go into the monorail car, and the bomb is under some grating next to one of the seats.

Ok, there is a big big glitch that took me hours to figure out.

Don'ttalk to the guy in charge of the investigation, after you talk about the break-ins, as he is the spy. That tips him off, and changes the questline so that you can't disarm the bomb, and he ambushes you instead of letting you spy on him. You must just go to the tower after talking to the other people, catch him in the act radioing in reports, and either steal or loot the codes off him, or trust you skills enough to disarm the bomb. Just run right to the monorail, and now you should be able to climb inside and find it in the vent.

After you've asked around about the break-ins and such, DO NOT UPDATE THE QUEST-GIVER, as you find out HE is the spy. If you talk to him, it tips hims off, and prevents you from disarming the bomb, and he ambushes you. You must instead go straight to the tower, and sneak up on him, eavesdrop on him, and either pickpocket/loot the codes, or trust your skills are high enough to run to the monorail and disarm it. Don't update Hsu on the problem, just go straight to the monorail, and now you should be able to climb in, and find the bombe in the vent.

You're probably going to have to reload from an earlier save if you glitched this one already, I did.

@Mrnitropb: I have a save right after I have killed the guy in the tower so I guess if I just go right to the monorail rather than telling the head guy I've killed the spy I should be able to defuse it? I'll try it tonight anyway.

@leebmx: Yes, if you hurry (replace medium armor with light if you're wearing it) you can kill the spy in the tower and still make it in time to defuse the bomb. That's exactly what I did.
