    Fallout: New Vegas

Game » consists of 25 releases. Released Oct 19, 2010

The post-apocalyptic Fallout universe expands into Nevada in this new title in the franchise. As a courier once left for dead by a mysterious man in a striped suit, the player must now set out to find their assailant and uncover the secrets of the enigmatic ruler of New Vegas.

This will be cool but a new Elder Scrolls game would be cooler!

Don't get me wrong I played this shit out of Fallout 3. Got almost 100% completion (gave up on finding all of those soda bottles). I just enjoy a more colorful world to explore. Everything in fallout 3 is so greay. They took the entire color pallete and rubbed in some gray. I know its after a world war... but if Im going to spend hundreds of hours walking around I want something pretty to look at.

EDIT: I remember when Oblivion came out, my graphics card nearly cried. It looked amazing! When do we see such an upgrade in a new Bethesda Open world game?

Meh.  I like Fallout 3 more than TES IV.  Took me a long time to realize that.

That being said, it's high time for a new Elder Scrolls.

@ComradeKritstov: Everything is actually pointing to an MMO.  Now they could be doing both but....

I hope that any new Elder Scrolls game would be more like Morrowind. Oblivion was good and everything, but it was a HUGE step backwards for the series.

I know, with Fable 3 coming out soon I can't help but think I'd rather see a new Elder Scrolls. (What?)

I will punch the first thousand babies I see if they make the next ES game an MMO.

Words can not describe how enraged I would be lol.

Also, yes, they need to hurry their shit up and make a new one. Unfortunately I imagine they'll wait for the next round of consoles to come out before releasing it. Probably going to be 2013 or 2014 before we see it or maybe even hear about it.

All I now is for the next for months I'm waving goodbye to my free time with NV, Fable 3, DR2 and FIFA all out/coming out. A new Elder Scrolls game would be great, absolutely loved Oblivion (Having never played one previously) and am almost embarrassed by the number of hours (days really) I put into that game.

I'm a much bigger fan of a post-apocalyptic version of the real world than a medieval magic imaginary world.

Having said that, I did love me some Morrowind.  Oblivion, well, I beat the snot out of that game, putting in well over 100 hours, but I can't say I ever really loved it.

Also, since Bethesda wasn't actually working on this, chances are they've got something going on, it'll be pretty sad if it's an MMO tho.

I loved both series.  But I actually beat Fallout, whereas with Morrowind and Oblivion, I got WAY too sidetracked with all the different sidequests and never finished the main stories.

Thats why I miss Oblivion.  Fallout is just so yellow and grey.  No green, no red, no blue man.  Oblivion had awesome forests, high mountains with snow, castles and caves, rivers and flowers.  So it was awesome walking from one place to another. Also, while the sarcastic and humorous nature of Fallout was great, I miss the epic feel that the quests in Oblivion had.  More serious in nature, it made me feel like I had to keep going, try to do everything.

    Morrowind was one generation.
    Oblivion the next.
If trends are any indicator, ES 5 may very well follow suit.

" Yeah I'm dying for more npc's staring at walls, guards shooting eachother, stepping out of one dungeon and already seeing the entrance to the next, and having only one voice actor be a convincing one only to have him removed entirely after the first 20 minutes! YEAH ELDER SCROLLS RAWKS! "
Those were problems exhibited primarily by Oblivion, which was one of the first open world games of this generation, and does not discount the entire series in the slightest.

If they make a new Elder Scrolls, i hope they do a new engine.. i'm so tired of the way their current engine works.. It's just Morrowind, but bigger and with better graphics..

I loved both Morrowind and Oblivion.  I do wish they make a new Elder Scrolls, but they should make it bigger and a bit more variety in things to do.

I'll voice the popular opinion and demand a new Elder Scrolls.

I can't see how Bethesda isn't working on this...
Please, Bethesda, be working on a new TES

    What do you mean?

Also, Elder Scrolls V is almost finished and NOTHING would make me happier than it being on the Rage engine like they hinted at in that QuakeCon interview.

@ComradeKritstov:  Funny you say that, I read somewhere not too long ago that the lead-designer or one of the lead-designers of Oblivion has left to start working on a different project.  So I don't really know where TES V stands at this point.. :'(

Ken Rolston. He left Bethesda to join Big Huge Games where he was the lead designer on a new RPG which got cancelled when 38 Studios bought them. Now he's working on Reckoning and Copernicus
