I heard there was a way in the game to add scopes and silencers to different weapons. And extended clips and such..anyone figure out how to do this? Ive been wandering around for about 6 hours and i still havent run across anywhere i can make cool gizmo's like all that. Help please? :)

It's my understanding that the only way to get mods is to buy them from certain merchants, one being the merchant in Goodspring, another being the one in Novac. There are definitely other merchants that sell them, but I haven't found them yet. I haven't seen a weapon mod drop, and I believe it's impossible to craft weapon mods.

I found this crazy merchant that was ex NCR. Holy crap her prices were crazy but she had a few mods at the cost of like 300+ for barrell extension, scope, etc.

I was confused to where they could be found/bought
