New California Republic, Cesar's Legion, Mr. House, or do you plan to be the lone wanderer of the New Vegas world?
Also, any minor factions you're especially looking forward to interacting with?

I thought it was NCR or Cesar's Legion.

@samcotts: The obvious and most likely to be the most obvious answer is NCR for that bad ass armor, but maybe Mr. House or just as a wanderer.

Like to be a wanderer, NCR if it isn't too confining. I have a hard time being a bad guy and enjoying it. That might  kill all three , for all I know. Of course, there is all the smaller gangs. The brotherhood of steel struck me as arrogant in Fallout 3, but once we started talking, they wern't so bad. If it's not the same deal....

The Brotherhood of Steel that are in this game are different from the ones we saw in Fallout 3, they're straight up hostile to outsiders and are more technology focused then their other counterpart.

Yeah, I would say that the East Coast Brotherhood and West Coast don't really see eye to eye.

Wait, they announced the brotherhood of steel was gonna appear in this game? I thought they were gonna avoid them and focus on new factions.

Maybe NCR, but I think being a lone wanderer and f'ing shit up would be equally satisfying.

They're a very small faction. From everything I've seen, it looks like they're located in a small bunker, with a few outside patrols.

Personally, lone wanderer is the only way to go. I may help out some smaller fractions if I'm feeling nice, but I'm a free man!

NCR first, I do not truck with guys who support slavery under any circumstances. Whether or not I'll still be aligned with NCR by the end, I dunno. Depends on how well they come off as I play. I am looking forward to meeting the Followers of the Apocalypse again though, they were some of the most genuinely 'good guys' in the first two games.

Playing two sides against the middle if they'll let me. If I lived in a post-apocalypse, I wouldn't concern myself with the machinations of whoever would be trying to gain power. I'd just do my own thing; carve out my own place.

@Getz: Yeah, I hope the faction system is complex enough to allow an awesome post-apocalyptic Yojimbo-type situation.

NCR first time through for sure, tho. Got mad history with those dudes going all the way back to saving Tandi from the raiders outside Sandy Shades in Fallout 1. Plus, it's the only somewhat stable nation-state that the fallout America (world?) has to offer.

I'm going to have to go with Caesar's Legion. I dig the faux Roman trappings, their ability to bring the wastes to some degree of order, and I don't like the NCR because they are forcefully taking control of everything in the region. Plus I can't say no to a man in a skirt.

On subsequent playthroughs I'll deal with all the other groups. I think we all know we're going to play this game a few times.

Well, I went out of my way to utterly fuckin obliterate as many slavers as I could in the last game, and 2, so short of some revelation that the Legion isn't actually a slaver ring, they are going DOWN.

lol I guess I'll be with NCR too on my 1st playthrough. the Brotherhood may also be an option but since this is the west coast Brotherhood that are straight up arrogant to outsiders, I might favor NCR much more and besides if any of you read Chris Avellone's Fallout Bible didn't the Brotherhood lose the war to NCR? :D

They should have a rap battle.

I'm not really sure who I would line up with but I'm leaning towards NCR. That armor looks pretty sweet.

The faction system actually gives a GENUINE incentive to replay the game and go through whole separate quest lines. It also makes sure that your choices have a real effect on the game and what you can and can't do.

I'm a goody-ass-two shoes, so probably NCR or Loner.

You know Mr.House is sneaky evil,(80% chance), and Cezar's Legion is probably worse then NCR.
