Normal mode the first play through and then I will have a reason to play it again on HARDCORE! Plus there was so much to see in Fallout 3 that I saw shit I didn't even know about the second time I played it. I am sure New Vegas will be the same way.  I CANT WAIT FOR FALLOUT!!!

I've played all 3 stalker games so I'll be right at home in Hardcore mode. Problem is there's probably nastier things in the wasteland than in the zone.

Normal.  Hardcore mode is for pussies.

If it's a toggle, Normal with Hardcore enabled sounds tempting. I really loved Fallout 3 and want New Vegas to be a similar experience, so might give it a miss first playthrough. Hmmm...

I will be starting on Hardcore. I played on hardest setting in Fallout 3 for most of the game and it was a lot more fun and intense than normal. Can't wait for this!

Normal first, then hardcore when it takes my fancy.

There's an achievement for beating it on hardcore mode.  Since ammo has weight to it in that mode, it all the more justifies my playstyle of using melee weapons.

The hardcore mode looks fun I think I will give it a try.

Normal, because Hardcore would cease to be fun about two hours in.

Gonna play on Normal first, then save Hardcore for my second playthrough.  That way I'll already have an idea for what I'm in for, what places to seek out/avoid early on, etc.

Head first into hell with a hardcore first playthrough.

I'll stick to normal. Might do hardcore on my second playthrough. Or, if you can play hardcore on normal or easy... I might just go for that to begin with.

Normal play first, Hardcore second. I don't think I'll beat Hardcore, but, hey, I might since I am desperate to get all the achievements on this Fallout as well.

There seems lately to be at least one achievement in each game that I know will prevent me from s-listing it. In this case, Hardcore is that achievement. I want to actually enjoy the game when I'm playing it, and Hardcore mode will make the game miserable.

I'll probably play with normal difficulty/hardcore mode on first.

Normal, for me. Not to say I'll never try Hardcore mode, but I want to just explore everything and get a feel for the game and the environment first before I gat seriass, as Terry Bogard would put it.
