The first Fallout I played was 3 and I did not like it at all. But on a whim the other day I picked up the other 3 Fallout games on Steam, and after realizing that Fallout 1 doesn't run properly on my computer I started Fallout 2 and i LOVE it. I finally get why so many fans of the old games hate what happened to 3.  Don't get me wrong I can see why people like 3 I just also see why people hate the change and I guess I'm one of them now.

The first two are hard.

Fallout 2 is my favorite. The first one was really tough when I first played it.

I really like all three myself, and I played them the order they came out.  I would have to say that 2 is my favorite, but I enjoyed 3 and will probably purchase 3 NV as well.

I never played the first 2, but Fallout 3 is a pile of dicks.

Ignoring that first Temple area, Fallout 2 is basically a perfect game.

See, I'm in the middle of writing something about how much I want to get a sex change specifically to have Fallout 3's mutant children. I enjoyed the older games enough, but I'm loving this one.

I believe the point of this blog is gone, and this is now just a discussion on piles of dicks.

My main problem with Fallout 3 is that it can't decide whether it's a shooter or an RPG which left the combat very unsatisfying, all the different quests and characters seem cool (like the giant fire ant mission) but it all revolves around that awful combat system so I couldn't get into it. I wouldn't mind trying the first 2 games at some point since they don't seem to have that problem.

I also like the first two Fallouts infinitely better than the Bethesda game. Frankly, I got bored with FO3 towards the end of the main plot and most of the time the game wasn't fun or engaging but just tedious to play.

I say try to get the first one to run. You should play this as well. Even before FO2.
