Turns out I hate the game anyway. Haha. Awful narrow fov, shoddy inaccurate shooting and aiming, the game world feels tiny and claustrophobic, and empty, and dead. It just feels like a consolegame to play, this being a product of the fov and aiming and maybe the dumb drawn out animations for every press of the 'action' button I guess.. maybe something else, the mouse movement feels weird. If I could get this game to run in windowed mode I'd try to play it with a 360 controller, it's probably better like that. So, in conclusion.. this game is no good at all. Hope you console doods are enjoying this at least, this one's for you. No bullshit, just sit down and play the way it was meant to be played. PC gamers fucked in the ass again. God. Damnit. I hate you ubisoft. I really hate you. I'm really seriously pissed off.

Here's another review score to the pile; 2/5. Positive points are; nice stats screen, it keeps track of a bunch of stuff (it looks like the standard gta3 stat screen) and there's quite a few things to do if you're able to enjoy the gameplay experience.. also the enemies go down fairly quickly, no bullshit or drawn out shooting-- they drop at the headshot.

This review based on 10-15 minutes of gameplay. Rant over.

It feels kind of like Bioshock to me, so if you were fine with that I'm sure you'll be ok. Did I just read the other day they weren't planning on releasing a demo? Hope not.

He's right. Far Cry does indeed blow chunks. Just like the first one, and CRYSIS.

I gotta say, the game is great, but the time you spend traveling from point to point is ridiculous.

I'm guessing there's no ragdoll on dead bodies. Probably no craters or good environmental decals. Probably like 5 textures.

Yes, you need to activated the game, event if you got from steam. I had to check server and all.

I looooove how upset people get if someone says a game they like sucks. It's hilarious.

Also, I should probably have put a smiley or something for the 10-15 mins thing as that was not actual factual time, but a fabrication for the funnies. Let's say 30 mins (haha) or so after the tutorial bullshit. Enough now to experience the respawning crap and other mission/driving annoyances. All there is to the game beyond this point is more content, the mechanics have been exhausted and this truly is all you need for a great and accurate review.

Really need some fov settings enabled. They left console with some commands in there but didn't bother to REALLY let us customise the game experience. More annoyances.

You really can't have a complete impression of a game like this within 30 minutes. It really isn't up for debate, 30 minutes is around 1/100th of the time it takes to finish the story on average. Your 15 minutes is 1/200th; ridiculous. Play some more, unlock some shit, experiment, see where it goes, but don't go and trash the game based on that minuscule amount of time. That's ludicrous.

Actually, I've enjoyed the game somewhat the last previous couple of hours playing it now. No way in hell I'll ever finish the main storyline crap, but it's a start.. right? Seriously need that fov patch.

Pretty much all my personal pc game purchases this year have been through download services gamersgate/stardockimpulse/steam/etc, this game right here Far Cry 2 was the first box in a long time.. so, any american retailer numbers or whatever you've been reading will have to do something extra special to impress. After I heard about the SecuROM I just pirated it.  Life is too short for DRM bullshit.  If they take out the SecuROM malware, I'll buy it.

You know you do not have to put up with this.  When companies do not take care of their customers then they do not deserve those customers anymore.
