Power Colt, Spider, Dr.Darling,Sloan, and a Blood Dragon walk into a cheesy 80's movie poster...Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is an open world FPS that is also a standalone DLC to Far Cry 3. In this game, you play as a robot commando named Sergeant Rex Power Colt, who is tasked with finding a rogue colonel on an unknown island in what the 80's would deem as an apocalyptic 2007. In this self aware 80's comedic game, it's up to one man to get the girl and save the world, and that man is you.Going deeper...

If you want more Far Cry 3 then have I got a game for you! 0

Platform: PC (Mouse and Keyboard)Time to Completion: 4.5-5 HoursDate Completed: May 9th, 2013Thoughts: Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon has a lot of ups and downs. One moment I was enjoying my time listening to the one liners dripping with old action movie cliches, and the other I found myself just rolling my eyes and hoping the game would just get a move on already. While the high points of the game are pretty good, I found overall that I spent more time rolling my eyes hoping for the next interesting t...

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon 3 Review. 0

Blood Dragons aren't the only unique thing in this Far Cry 3 expansion (of sorts). Developed independently at Ubisoft, Blood Dragon is an interesting new take on the idea of addition content for an established game, because whilst Blood Dragon base's itself off the core mechanics of Ubisoft's popular Island shooter, in most other ways it's a very different beast. It's an interesting experiment if nothing else and something I'd like to see other developers consider in the future, and the fact tha...

    Neon Island of Insanity 0

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was initially thought to be some sort of April Fools' joke, but as with Twisted Pixel's Splosion Man, this proved to be untrue. Blood Dragon is real, a ton of fun, and full of nice throwbacks to the 80's in many different ways. The name alone suggests that Far Cry 3's story would be integrated somehow, but their only similarities are mainly from the game's controls, the fact that it takes place on an island, and that you'll be able to play similar activities. This game is ...

The gameplay I loved in a setting I find more appealing? SOLD. 0

The RadSame great action-packed gameplay you know and love from Far Cry 3.Some genuinely funny writing. They do a good job of nailing the 80’s Sci-Fi/Action Movie vibe.Rad as hell soundtrackThe BadGames a little too dark in spots. Visually speaking, of course. Can’t reset Garrisons like you could the outposts in Far Cry 3 (After they patched it, anyway)This is gonna be a short one because when writing a review I tend to only really focus on the gameplay. It tends to be the least subjective part. ...

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon review 0

Recently I have been looking for a good, old, dumb FPS for a while now, I like blowing off some steam by ducking behind something and shooting until everyone falls over into a ragdolly mess. However, short of paying full price for Call of Duty Ghosts, there isn't much I haven't played or want to touch. In my despereation I remembered that Blood Dragon was suggested to me awhile back and I haven't gotten around to it yet. Now I wasn't the biggest fan of Far Cry 3, it had its issues with story and...

A fun cheesy romp, held back by its ties to Far Cry. 2

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a love letter to the cheesy action films of the 80’s. Set in the dystopian future of 2007 and filled to the brim with cyborgs, lasers, neon and shoulder-pads, it is a truly unique world rarely explored in gaming. As a standalone release for XBLA and PSN, it is a streamlined version of Far Cry 3’s engine, fuelled by machismo and synthesisers. Despite some mechanical problems and its relatively short length, Blood Dragon is a gaming experience you certainly will have nev...

    Terminator 4: Neon Dragon 1

To all of you who are familiar to the Far Cry franchise, you are normally in the middle of nowhere. The layout looks beautiful, you can clearly tell that a lot of time and effort has been put into each game. Far Cry 3 was an exceptional piece of entertainment. Machinima says "It's like Skyrim with guns!" and it had several nominations and awards from E3. Ubisoft decided to make a spin-off based off of a map editor they had made for Far Cry 3 which allowed players to add 80's movie special effect...
