Are there any forced stealth story missions in this game?

I really enjoyed Far Cry 3 and completed the game when it first came out. I thought the gameplay was a blast and fun.

I also played Far Cry 4 and while it was a bit more of the same (and I thought Vaas was a superior villain to Pagan Min), I also enjoyed it. However, I rage quit the game once I encountered the mission City of Pain (https://guides.gamepressure.com/farcry4/guide.asp?ID=28193). Basically this game forced you to be stealthy and if you didn't, it would fail the mission. I don't play these games for stealth, and I got so frustrated in restarting the same story mission over and over again.

So does Far Cry 5 have any of these type of missions?

@wonderva: I haven’t been able to successfully stealth anything really, that’s how I normally play but I find when I shoot a suppressed rifle or pistol everyone is instantly alert

I am almost done with the second region and there have been no forced stealth missions yet.

For outposts, which offer more money reward for not setting off any alarms and even more for not being detected, the bow is the way to go. Silendced sniper rifle does work as well, but you need to be way more careful with that: I think it conceals where you fire from, but the actual bullet impact is still pretty loud and does alert nearby enemies - I don't think it's an outomatic trigger, meaning you can take out enemies who are far away from others. I have been using mostly the bow though.

There are some missions where hostages might get killed if you get noticed by the enemy and do not take them out in time, but even then I had no problem just running in and shooting.

Not that I've seen yet. Considering the stealth in this game has a tendency to not work in the slightest, that's probably a good thing.

There is one mission where you have to be stealthy to rescue a bunch of hostages to recruit one of the specialists.

There a few, but nothing hard, real easy just use throwing knifes or a bow.

    Thanks for the replies everyone.

Sounds like these missions do exist in the game. I will wait for it to go on sale then. For now, I will stick with playing Ghost Recon Wildlands which Far Cry 5 seems to be similar in gameplay anyways.
