FARA is a text-based roguelike published by @BrianIsCreative for the web, Windows, Mac, and Linux. The goals of the game are numerous and open-ended, but the primary objective is to collect 10 Key Fragments in order to save the world. This can be done via several methods, including skulking through dungeons, cataloging unique monsters, helping settlements, or working for factions. The game is controlled via command line and shortcuts, and later added touch and mouse support.
FARA is largely procedurally generated, with dungeons, castles, settlements and other scenarios cropping up as the player moves about the infinite world map. The game features over 60 classes to choose from, all of which can also apply to enemies and allies you encounter throughout gameplay. When the player dies, their score is added a to a total which determines which classes they have access to the next time they play. The first public alpha of the game was made available on May 20, 2018, and the game is under active development with multiple updates a month.
