@Turambar: Nah, word of god says Gilgamesh could have won the 4th Grail War in one day if he wanted to, Ea is the strongest NP true, but he is not just a one trick pony, he only ever uses it full power once.

@Turambar: But the Gate is his main method of attack, just like Saber uses Excalibur and Lancer uses his two spears. The reason his personality is like that is because he is the original hero but I dunno I just really like him

I was pretty psyched for Fate/Extra, having not read much about it. Actually playing it left me wishing they'd taken it in a different direction. I'd imagined something more like Persona, potentially with relationships -- and less grinding. Or even something like Fate/Stay Night except with occasional RPG battles thrown in. Instead, it was a dungeon crawler. The mechanics Fate/Extra were too mediocre, and the game fixated on them. I played it for Nasu's story and the gameplay was just unnecessary baggage. Rather than supplementing the game, they detracted from it.

Give me a playable Tohno Shiki and I'm in all over again, though.

@Char12: Zero Berserker (Lancelot of the Lake) actually can take on Gilgamesh even with EA, as Lancelot's NP Andre Light (Or however you spell it) ability nullifies ALL NP and skills (Renders his Knight of Honor abilities and his shape shifting unusable as well because of the sword) so Gilgamesh (for the Golden ego guy of a servant) would lose if Berserker wasn't summoned with an incompetent master. But even then Gilgamesh doesn't take on Berserker one on one because of his Knight of Honor. My opinion of Zero Berserker, He's a Bamf with all the BS abilities possible in one war. Downside is he sucks up too much mana.

@Commisar123: Sadly Lancer will never achieve victory. Carnival Phantasm FINAL DEAD LANCER. that was a funny episode.

@Ghost249: Haha are you serious? Nowhere does it say that Arondight seals all NP's, all it does is seal Knight of Honour, and For Somemons's Glory and raise every rank up by one. Even then Gilgamesh could wipe the floor with him. The only reason Saber didn't destroy him was because she was in shock over who it was, and refused to fight full power. Ea is the only Anti-World rank NP, it can destroy space and time. His golden armour is capable of brushing of weaker attacks without damage (such as Saber's Incisible Air). It wouldn't block an attack from Arondight, though Berserker would never get vlose enough to use it.

@Char12: well then it seems my information was outdated as that was what I remember back then on the typemoon wiki, someone must have changed it or my memory probably is bad since I haven't touched that area for a while... Anyway Gilgamesh is too high and mighty to even use EA on Berserker, I mean it. His Ego does not let him use something so divine to him to be used on a 'mongrel' (That and why would he destroy his own playground?). (Only exceptions would be against Saber, and the one ATTEMPT to use it against Emiya Shiro) Berserker's Knights honor is still a problem for Gilgamesh. Saber wise, yes she was shocked and the only other reason they were able to defeat berserker was ...

Edit: In General Though, no-one likes Gil (Even I don't like the pompous Gloden ego Albino), and he's a wimp infront of Saber Altar (Carnival Phantasm). However it would be interesting to have him as a servant in Fate/EXTRA CCC, but would still rather have All the other servants over Gil. That's my opinion so don't be offended, rather not deal with being called a 'mongrel'. Praetor though is very acceptable.

@Ghost249: I agree that he probably wouldn't use Ea on anyone,but "worthy" opponents, but yeah Saber wasn't fighting back,if she was serious she probably wouldhave won.

I gotta say that I love Gil and I agree controling himwill be amazing.

As someone who can barely tell that this series is based on Arthurian legend or something, having read this thread, I can't even tell if your "who would win in a fight?" debate is based off of demonstrated skill/established lore in an anime, or based off of in-game abilities the different characters possess.

@BisonHero: Its not just Arthurian legends, it has heroes from a lot of different legends across the world, and yeah we are mostly taking these stats from the VN/Anime or Light novel for Fate Zero
