Will you be picking this game up on PC or on a console? On PC you would save 10 dollars and have superior visuals. On a console, you will have ease of use, possibly more stable visuals (more stable frame rate, possibly, all depends on your PC), and possibly split screen multiplayer.
I'll be picking it up on my PS3, this way my brother can play whenever he wants and I don't need to clutter up my already small hardrive on my laptop.
How about you? Which version do you plan to get?
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin

Project Origin is the direct sequel to Monolith's spooky first-person shooter, F.E.A.R.
PC or Console?
I've recently (in the past few years) gotten quite comfortable with a controller for FPS games and will likely pick it up on the 360. When I say controller I only mean the 360 controller because I think the DS3 is awful for FPS games. I really only buy PC games that are PC exclusive or have great mod communities (and of course RTS games still pretty much sucks on consoles).
PC of course. Besides the fact that I don't own any consoles myself and have always prefered PC's, I just can't understand how anybody can prefer playing an FPS with a controller, its just so much less responsive than a mouse. Plus, the demo was amazing on PC (the graphics, the optimization of the engine, and the control scheme).
Also, gamer points? really? Are you sure you really wanna be that guy? I know, they should make a game that is full price, and gives you its full quota of gamer points for installing it, without having any gameplay. I bet that guy would buy it.
More stable framerates on a console version? That is the biggest myth going. You can not tweak your framerates on consoles. W/ a PC you can tweak your settings to optimize. I haven't seen a console game that allows tweaking since Morrowind on the XBOX1 allowed tweaks to shadows to improve framerates.
Of course the PC version will be better, unles someone tries to play it on an intergrated vid card or something silly :)
"PC is far superior when it comes to FPS games."Depends on your PC. My computer is crap when it comes to running games on my 1900x1200 monitor which I can take advantage of on my 360. :)
I love my PC but I also Love my PS3, I'm not sure if I will get this game just yet but If i do I will probly buy it through steam just because I like it as a platform
Personally I won't be buying this game, but this is one of the few that truly is better on the PC. The console ports are just bad, greatly downgraded textures, 30fps, worse quality effects. Monolith has done a BAD JOB on the console versions. FEAR1 was a BAD port to consoles as well. My oldish PC ran it way better than the 360 version (which I bought as well which was a dumb thing to do).
I suppose console-only owners might get something out of it, but PS3 owners would be MUCH MUCH MUCH better served with Killzone 2 and 360 owners would be better buying off buying something else or just saving their money. There's already tons of better 360 FPS games.
PC...that is if I ever buy it. Right now, since I have a huge backlog of games I bought over the past few months that I've barely played, I'm probably not going to be picking this up for some time...
PC. The only reason FPS seem like they have gotten better on the console because they all include some form of auto aim. If you really want to "play" the game, the PC is the only way to go for FPS games.
Console FPS games are like sloppy, drunk fucks except you definitely will remember it in the morning.
"Scorched said:No the PC gamer has a job. Poor console gamer is still living on his parents couch."pcThat must be before the PC gamer receives his/her bill."
