Felix the Reaper

Overview

Felix the Reaper is a puzzle game from Kong Orange.

The game was inspired by the "danse macabre" also known as the Dance of Death, which is the medieval allegorical concept of the all-conquering and equalizing power of death, expressed in art of western Europe from the Middle Ages.

Story

In Felix the Reaper you play as Felix who works as a field reaper for the Ministry of Death. His job is to make sure people die when their lifetime account runs out.

Felix is also on a mission to seduce Betty the Maiden, who works at the Ministry of Life, with his slick dance moves. But since she works for the Ministry of Life and he works for the Ministry of Death they're never supposed to meet.

Gameplay

Felix the Reaper is a 3D puzzle game which takes place on floating islands divided into tiles. Felix has to stay in the shadows otherwise he'll get burned by the sun. Luckily, reapers have the power to control the sun, and therefore shift the shadows which will create the necessary paths to navigate around in the mortal realm. Felix is also able to pick up objects, people, and animals in order to cast shadow pathways for him the boogie down.

As the gameplay opens up Felix gets various tools to help him move around the world and create shadows in new and interesting ways.

These abilities come in handy so Felix can reach his targets and make sure they die according to the ministerial plans.
