    Overview

Fights in Tight Spaces is a strategy card game, developed by Ground Shatter and published by Mode 7 Games. It was first released on PC in early access on February 24th, 2021, with the full release of the game for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S releasing December 1, 2021.

    Story

The story of the game follows a special agent, who is tasked with taking down a variety of gangs, including bikers, inmates, ninjas, and mafia, as well as the leader of each gang.

    Gameplay

Fights in Tight Spaces is a turned based, tactical game, where all movement and attacks by the player are controlled by a deck of cards. The player has a set number of actions to be performed per turn, based on a point system, with each card costing a number of those points to play. It also features roguelike elements, with the goal to be finishing the game in one run, and each run consisting of randomized enemy encounters, goals per each encounter, and rewards.

At the beginning of each run, the player chooses one of a set number of decks to use for the run. Each deck has a unique playstyle and strategy for taking down enemies. The path to the boss of each level consists of multiple enemy encounters, which occasionally branches off to in order to provide a choice of encounter difficulties and different rewards to be gained from completing goals, such as finishing before a set number of turns, during the encounter. Upon finishing an encounter, the player will be given a choice of one of three cards to add to the deck for the rest of the run.

The game also has a leveling mechanic. After each run, the player will gain experience based on much progress was made. Upon leveling up, new cards will be added to the game, as well as new decks to choose from at the beginning of each run.

The game has multiple difficulty modes, in order to tailor an easier, or more difficult run of the game. The run can also be started from each of the individual levels in the game, provided the player has made it to that level in a previous run, but foregoing any upgrades or additional cards to be earned from previous levels.

Outside of the game's main mode, there is also a Daily Play mode, where a new run is generated daily, with a different set of decks, enhancement, and modifiers, as well as an online leaderboard for players to compete for the best run score.
