Normally my response to this would be, now that they have a trophy list you would assume theyre pretty damn close to releasing this (which they arent) but I recently got P4G and welcome the delays to finish that first and find this game

Oh good, everything I did in the PS2 version (except for Penance and stuff since I didn't have that version)! I'll do it all over again!

Still pondering whether I should continue playing this on the PS2 or PC or just re-buy the Vita version. I guess it really depends on how much they've improved some visual things, especially animations. Some of those animations are really rough. Impressive for the time, yes, but they stand out a lot today.

@believer258: Judging from the comparison screenshots I've seen from the PS3 version, the models look waaay better. Not sure about the environments or the animations, but I assume they improved as well. I've never seen the Vita version.

Part of me gets why, but is still bummed, that the 0:0:00 Chocobo time and 200 lightning bolts are only bronze trophies. It also probably means I won't Platinum FFX which is a bummer. X-2 maybe, but that bonus dungeon is pretty rough if I remember correctly.

Im also coming into these games not actually playing any of it, i know some very basic early game and the watersports game they play thanks to watching a friend but thats about it so I might not understand as much about this list as others do

The lightning and the sphere grid stuff is easy...just takes time.

But man....they're gonna ask you to beat 0:00:00 in chocobo racing again....fuck that.

Looking at those trophy lists just brought back repressed memories of how tedious the side quests were in those games; the lightning wasn't too bad since I'm like rain man with that stuff, but fuck that Chocobo shit for Tidus' ultimate weapon.

Getting 100% in FFX-2 was the worst as the game would troll you at every opportunity to ensure you would miss something. I remember one requirement was listening to some old guy ramble, and if you interrupted him, you wouldn't get credit. That fucking guy would stop mid-sentence and sit there for a good 10 seconds making you think he finished, but nope, he'd just start talking again.

I can't wait until they put out FFXII on the Vita and then make you beat Yiazmat

@animasta: But he's super easy and you can just leave during the fight.

Are FFX and X-2 worth playing now? I never played either of those two.

i'd actually super duper love that. i loved most everything about that game but i was like 11 when it came out and didnt have the patience for the combat. i would treasure the opportunity to give it a second chance now!

Well fuck that. Kind of expected trophies like this, but seriously? Complete the Sphere Grid with all characters? Wouldn't that take hundreds of hours? The farthest I got was having Tidus complete his own section, Wakka's section, and Auron's section, and that felt like it took forever. JRPG's have the worst trophies.

Welp, I don't care about trophies. But last time I swore I would play this game completionist/ultimate run style for the hd version....

I'm really, really not looking forward to the mingames.

I never finished this back in the day, I think I stopped playing cause I wanted to play XII instead. But man, I tried dodging that lighting a few times...it seemed damn near impossible. Also, screw Blitzball.

Gah that lightning dodge was bullshit but I did it.

Can't wait to tape my analog controller against a wall in FF X-2 in order to milk me some costume levels.

should make maxing out the sphere grid easier if you can still do it.

I lost count halfway through dodging the lightning and ended up dodging it something like 270 times.

It's gonna be really hard to do that again now that I have 2 kids.

How is that dodge lighting one a bronze trophy? It should be at least a silver.

Whelp...Nemesis is gonna suck, all those original monster arena bosses were stupid hard and one of the two things i didnt do in FFX (the other being the lightning dodge...i was almost there too). Still really looking foward to try to get most of these though, also yay more Blitzball is in my future.

How is Lightning Dancer not gold? Explain that to me, Nomura!

1. Isn't the lightning dodge you need to do anyways to get Lulu's (or Rikku's, I forget) Ultima Weapon?
2. Is this (finally) the International Remix version? I always wanted to fight the Dark Aeons.

Fuck Yeah. If there is one thing I do next year, it's going to getting double-Platinum in this. I played the original FFX countless times (I stopped keeping count after 20) and have a single save that broke the clock. I'm just going to make time for this, everything else is going to have to fit around it. March here I come!

Not difficult. There are auto-revive, AP to EXP strategies that level ridiculously fast.

@hailinel: Yes! Really I just don't like trophies that are all about the amount of time you spend doing it. I mean it's not challenging to max out the sphere grid, it just takes forever. Getting that trophy isn't a statement about how good someone is at the game, its a statement about how much free time they have. Generally I think a lot of RPG's follow this trend, which sucks because I love RPG's, and if I really love a game I like to platinum it, but trying to get a trophy like that would be unrealistic and irresponsible of me.

I bet dodging lightning will be real good with the input delay on modern televisions.

Nothing on that list I didn't already do on the PS2. I just don't have hundreds upon hundreds of free time to get it done. So I will most likely run through X and pick away at other things on that list over the course of a few years.

Butterfly catching and the chocobo races were the only ultimate weapon challenges I was never able to complete. It's lame that getting 0:00 in the chocobo race is a bronze. Dodging lightning can be a little easier if you have the accessory that voids all random encounters. I' m surprised there wasn't a trophy for getting all Rikku's overdrive mixes.
