i've seen some comparison videos where the Vita version drops a bit in framerate in some areas, but it never seems to do this in battle. Just in cutscenes it seems. How does it hold up in reality, would you suggest it, and does this get in the way?

I'm thinking maybe I'm just really noticing it because right beside it is the PS3 version running at a steady 30 FPS.

I think the Vita version of the game is great, no noticeable drop in frame-rate during battle. Been running pretty good and the ability to grind while watching tv or on the go makes up for any lost frames during the cut-scenes.

I've never noticed any sort of framerate issues at all. It holds up just fine and it looks and runs great. Worrying about a few frames here and there is silly.

Especially with a game like this. There aren't any action-y elements, are there? If I get this (which I eventually plan to) it'll be on Vita.

There's an overdrive super-move function in-battle that's more or less a timing-based QTE for some characters.

But as an owner of the Vita version, I can confirm there hasn't been a real issue on the framerate end. It's a perfect port.

Awesome, you've all swayed me towards the Vita version. Thanks!

I haven't had any slowdown that I've noticed, but one thing I love about the Vita version is the suspend mode. Since you need hard save points and can easily get stuck where there is no save point to back track to, it's perfect that you can just shut down when you need and pick everything back up later, with no loss of progress.

It's great, for the most part. There ARE some areas which the game noticeably slows down, especially if there are a lot of characters and visual effects going on, but it's fairly rare, I've only see it happen in one or two areas (Like Macalania Temple, it noticeably slows down when you're in there).

It's pretty much exactly the same game, with slightly better graphics. Actually, the HD textures aren't always so good - Tidus's and Rikku's face can look messed up due to the hi-res textures at times. But seriously, it's worth your money if you liked FFX. I haven't played the X-2 remake. X-2 was where Square just lost me. I'm sure FFX-2 is beloved by many people, but it wasn't for me and every FF game they've released since then hasn't been for me either.

I bought both but played the majority of it on the vita (I bought the vita version first) and can say it's a great version. There are some frame rate issues here and there but it's still a good version. You could easily play the entire game on the vita with no major issue.

When I went to the PS3 version, I actually missed the touch screen heal feature but if you're looking to play, either version is fine.

The luck buff drops frames, but that's the only spot in the game I can remember.

Its great though, I just beat X and had a blast playing it lounging anywhere around the house.
