According to IGN FFXIV will be coming to PC and PS3.

It will only really be worthwhile on the PC.

Not that shocking, Final Fantasy XI was also on the PC.

Yeah, FFXI came out on PC first in North America, then PS2 later, and Xbox 360 later then that.  So we will see, I am sure there will be a PC and PS3 launch in 2010 (they must of been working on it for a really long time to say that) and a Xbox launch later or depending on when the next Xbox is on that.

I don't think Sony will let this slip though their fingers like they did FFXII.

I'm sure it will first be released on the PS3, and then (some months later) on the PC, just like FFXI.

Duh, It's an MMORPG. (It might even make it to 360 eventually, like FFXI).

Im just saying that hopefully now that its launching on a console with a pretty good internet network it will do better and at least get off to a better start than FFXI

Will playonline suporrt this?  Will we still have our handles in game from final fantasy 11?  What will we gain as a gift from playing or porting over from from final fantasy 11

Yep, definite release on PC and PS3, they are "considering" a 360 version.  They have supposedly been working on this for 5 years, which is why such a close release date.
I just hope the PS3 doesn't hold back the game's potential like the PS2 did to FFXI.

It will release on PC and PS3 at the same time. Chances are it'll wind up on 360 later considering that Tretton very carefully said PS3 was the only console you could get it on when it launches in 2010. A little history note, FFXI was a PS2 game before it was a PC title. The PC version is a port of the PS2 version so it still plays like it's on a console. If I remember correctly, it doesn't even have WASD control options. FFXI was a game built for consoles as FFXIV will probably be so expect each version to be equal.
